In Honor of All Fathers… A father is a man who loves without cost to his children and tries to raise them to be fully human creatures with the abilities to make a difference in our world. Some fathers are successful, some are not. However, almost all try their best. This Father's Day, let your dad know that you appreciate all his efforts.

Strength--Your strength in helping me to tell right from wrong was a great gift.

Honor--You taught me that to honor myself was a way to honor the God who made me.

Faith--Thanks Dad for having faith in me, when I was not sure I had faith in myself.

Love--You loved me even when I did not love myself. For that I am grateful.

Happy Father’s Day to you!

Our Lady of Angels Conference of St. Vincent DePaul Society (Greece) (SVDP). St. Charles Borromeo has a SVDP whose basic ministry is to help the poor obtain necessary furniture and household goods. Potential clients are interviewed to assess their needs and also to connect them to other community agencies. People in eastern Greece and Charlotte are eligible for assistance. There is collaboration with the SDVP group from St. Frances Cabrini Parish. Next weekend’s parish sharing will be donated to our group.

This Weekend, June 15-16, 2019 for

FREE Catholic resources!

For the month of June, Dynamic Catholic has donated two amazing resources to our parish. There is a limited amount available for each Mass– first come—first serve.

At a time when instant gratification no longer seems fast enough, The Long View invites us to step back from the endless hustle of our busy lives and question whether we are on the right path. This short book is also a great gift for a recent graduate or college student.

The Catholics Next Door (CD Sampler) features Greg and Jennifer Willits, who openly share their own energetic, humorous, and imperfect attempts to live their faith. This can be great to listen to on the way to work or sitting on the couch.

Great Garage Sale was a

Huge Success! Thank You! The 2019 St. Charles Great Garage Sale was a huge success. We made over $8,600 to help the ministries of our Parish. THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the donating, collecting, sorting, pricing, folding, refolding, baking, wrapping, bagging, carrying, cleaning, cooking, counting, negotiating, packing and sweeping. A special thank you to the Parish Staff for their support and help, to the Fundraising Committee for pulling it all together and of course, to all who donated treasures and purchased new treasures. Remember to start saving your treasures for next year’s Great Garage Sale!

Upcoming Women’s Retreat at Notre Dame – First Call

2019 Retreat Theme: “Our Spiritual Journey”

With summer just beginning, it takes a stretch to think about our September 27-29 retreat weekend at Notre Dame Retreat House on Canandaigua Lake, but now is the time to put the date on your calendar. If you have been on retreat with us in the past, you know what a wonderful weekend it is. If you have never been to the Notre Dame Retreat House, you don’t know what you’re missing. It is a special time to get away from the tasks, the surroundings and trappings of everyday life that keep us so busy, we forget to carve out that time for growing in our faith and spending quality time with Our Lord. Every one of us is journeying to God and we know that we have no lasting home on earth. If you feel lost on your journey, confused, or perhaps just stalled on the way, this retreat may be of real help to you. Since space is limited, we try to send down as many names as possible by the middle to end of July in order to ensure that we get the rooms we request. If you know you will be going, or know that you want to go, but are unsure of the “how” please call me and get your name on the list; no obligation, no reservation fee. Cancellations are as simple as a phone call. The suggested cost is $150* for a single room, $120 each for a shared (double) room (with shower), and $200 for a double without a roommate . You do not pay anything until the weekend of the retreat. You will enjoy two comfortable nights, four delicious meals, inspirational and thought provoking talks, liturgies and devotions, an opportunity for Penance, and, if desired, a private meeting with one of the staff. The weekend allows for time to browse through the gift shop, or take a quiet walk to take in the gorgeous, hilltop scenery. The retreat begins with registration from 6:30 -7:30pm Friday (Program begins at 8pm )and closes Sunday after Mass (around noon). Please consider joining us. If you are in need of transportation, we can try to provide you with a ride. Give us a call and let us know your need as early as possible.

To reserve a room or for more information call: Mary Gardner at 227-0691 Please leave a message if no answer.

*Please Note: Notre Dame has a policy that retreatants can pay whatever they are able to pay for their

retreats. The inability to pay the suggested rates should never be seen as blocking someone from

coming. This is a Ministry and we want you to be here.
