Honors College enrollment increased from 129 students in 2008, to 234 students in 2009, to 358 students in 2010.

Recruitment efforts for the new ACCESS program for non-native English speakers slightly exceeded target enrollment in the pilot program.

Along with National Geographic Society and the National Zoo, hosted the inaugural Washington Youth Summit on the Environment (WYSE), attracting125 of the top high school students in the country

The Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC) entered its second year with over 150 participants from across the country

Additional Highlights

Partnership with Virginia-based Envision student leadership conferences offers outstanding high school students opportunity to gain elective college credit. Provides access to over one million high profile prospective students in addition to new institutional revenue.

The second year of a $100,000 ACE/Walmart Foundation grant, for Military Services offers expanded Counseling and Psychological Services and enhanced student service models during an increase of 30% in the Mason military population.

Undergraduate international (F-1) new student enrollment exceeded target, growing from 78 in fall 2009 to 102 for fall 2010.

Mason Ambassadors launch the Gbay event, raising over $10,000 for student scholarships
