Charter School Board Visits RoboticsTeam
IMSA North is absolutely ecstatic to announce this year's winners at ConceptSchools Science & Engineering Fair (CONSEF). All 15 of the IMSA Northstudents who participated in the science fair placed! This is an incredibleaccomplishment because there were nearly 500 projects this year at CONSEF.
Two of our students did exceptionally well and received the highest honorof Best in Category! Kevin Zeigler had the best project in the Physics categoryand Maria Diaz had the best project in the Health category. Congratulations alsoto the following winners:

IMSA North Science Fair a SuccessIMSA North students were able to show off their hard work during this year'sscience fair! Students impressed the judges who were made up of amazingcommunity members and IMSA staff. Special recognition goes to Ms. Vest andMs. Byrd for all of their effort in making this science fair a huge success!

IMSA North Excels at Spoken WordContest
We are pleased to announce that several of our IMSA North students performedtremendously at the Concept Schools Spoken Word Competition! Faith Morganburned up the stage in the free form category walking away with first place aftera stellar performance of an original piece entitled "Don't Touch Me." l. JazmynGatson and Amani Morgan walked away with second and third placesrespectively in the persuasive category. Malik Hughes and Jan Batamuriza alsogave wonderful performances. The other team member, Maya Anderson,provided great moral support.
First-Person History from Selma
Dr. Kent Millard, who participated in the march from Selma with Dr. Martin LutherKing, visited IMSA High School to share his experiences with the students. Hisfirst-person account was something the students and staff will not forget. Hisvisit coincided with the high schoolers' being selected to view the movie Selmaat the AMC Cinemas on February 25th. We thank Ms. Bell for making thatviewing possible.
IMSA North students put on a stunning performance to celebrate Black HistoryMonth. The show included incredible performances of monologues and jaw-dropping musical numbers in which our students showed off their amazingvoices. A special recognition goes to Ms. Bell, Ms. Bembry, and Ms. Duff fortheir incredible efforts in making this show a reality!

Ms. Canavati is an incredibly enthusiastic math teacher. Her 5thand 7th grade math students will tell you that she makes learningfun and exciting in her classroom. A native of Minnesota, sheloves spending time on the lake and travelling.

IMSA Dance Students Perform in Ohio
On March 5th, IMSA North students participated in the 3rd annual Turquoise Artand Language Festival in Dayton, Ohio.
4th grade students of IMSA North spent Statehood Day at the Statehouse andenjoyed listening to Governor and 1st Lady Pence.
IMSA North Top Spellers atConcept Spelling Bee
After a tough competition at our school, IMSA sent several students to theConcept Schools Spelling Bee in Chicago last December.
Anti-Bullying Message for MiddleSchoolers
IMSA North had the pleasure of welcoming IMPD Officer Robbin Meyers, whodelivered an incredible presentation about the impacts of bullying to the middleschool students of IMSA North.
During Thanksgiving time IMSA North collected over 600 canned goods! A hugeshout out to Ms. Beasley's class who donated over 115 canned goods!
