IMPROVING YOUR LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE
AS A LEADER IN YOUR ORGANIZATION, IT'S
IMPERATIVE THAT YOU CONSISTENTLY LOOK
FOR AREAS TO IMPROVE YOUR LEADERSHIP STYLE
AND PERFORMANCE.
One of the simplest ways to figure out how
you're doing is by asking your employees, who
see you every day, for honest feedback.
This could be arranged by setting up one-on-
one meetings with each of them or by sending
out a confidential survey.
In any case, listen to the criticism, be open to
their suggestions, and take any negative
feedback in stride.
ASK FOR FEEDBACK
ENCOURAGE YOUR TEAM When problems arise in the workplace, as
a leader, you should be willing to come
up with a solution as quickly as possible.
Whenever possible, lean on your
employees to come up with a proper
course of action. Giving them some of the
responsibility to fix problems can help
boost their confidence in their roles and
reassure them of their importance in the
office.
DELEGATE EFFICIENTLY Leaders often have difficulty effectively delegating tasks to their
team members so they can be challenged to grow within the
company.
Look at how you're currently distributing work to your team and
determine whether or not these tasks can be broken down even
further and given to more members of the team.
Consider the strengths of your employees but also push them to
try a variety of tasks that may take them out of their comfort
zone.
REFOCUS YOUR GOALSEveryone has a motivation to get up every
morning, turn on the coffee pot and head to
work.
The most influential leaders have a passion
that inspires them toward excellence. If you
believe that the work that you’re doing is
important, you’re naturally going to motivate
others in a positive and clear direction.
