• The Graduate and Professional Studies Program at Tusculum College
• Ms. Lindsey Seal, the Enrollment Representative for the Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) Program at Tusculum College.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• No current GPS Student Handbook available.
• Students are currently given the Residential Student Handbook.
DESIRED OR EXPECTED OUTCOMES
• Improve GPS Student Success Rates.
• Improve the GPS Student Retention Rates.
• Improve the overall GPS Student Satisfaction with the program.
ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVES AND METHODS
OBJECTIVES:
• Student Success Rates.
• Student Satisfaction Rates.
• Improving GPS Retention Rates.
METHODS:
• Questionnaire Distribution via www.surveyplanet.com.
DATA AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS DESCRIPTION
• 13 Question Survey sent to all GPS Students.
• www.surveyplanet.com
• One week collection period.
• Analyze results with Microsoft Excel and Word.
ASSESSMENT FINDINGS
• 77 surveys were completed within one week.
• The most were in Business Admin. and Mgmt. programs.
• 62 felt that a GPS Handbook would be beneficial.
• 38 stated they would use a GPS Handbook often.
• 51 stated that a GPS Handbook should be both in print and online.
• 56 stated that a GPS Orientation class would have been beneficial.
• 29 people were between the ages of 35-44.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INTERVENTION
• GPS Student Handbook in both print and online formats.
• One night GPS Orientation class.
• Keep all faculty and staff updated.
• Staff at each Tusculum College campus available.

• Complete handbook and keep updated.

• Learning Evaluation be completed after each semester.
LESSONS LEARNED• Start all projects early.
• I only had one day to create my survey and one week to collect data.
• Only 77 surveys were completed.
• Find out everything you can about the client.
• Be upfront and honest.
• Communication and Confidentiality.
