Improving Outcomes for Rural Native Foster Youth Tribal STAR (Successful Transitions fo Adult Readiness) provides interdisciplinary training for providers who work with rural Native foster youth. We invite social workers, Tribal Indian Child Welfare workers, educators, Independent Living workers, probation officers, case managers, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), group home staff, foster parents, community-based agency staff, and Tribal youth service providers. Topic areas covered in the training include: Tribal values & culture, collaboration, youth development philosophy, assessment, addressing the needs of Native American foster youth.
