1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE PRIOR TO BIDDING, AND IT SHALLBE THE CONTRACTOR'S SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE ANYDISCREPANCIES WHICH MAY EXIST BETWEEN THESE DRAWINGS AND THEACTUAL FIELD CONDITIONS.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATE, VERIFY AND BEARFULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR DIMENSIONS AND EXISTING CONDITIONS THATAFFECT CONSTRUCTION AS SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS. THE CONTRACTORSHALL NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY CONDITION REQUIRING MODIFICATIONOR CHANGE PRIOR TO STARTING WORK.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING EXISTING SITETOPOGRAPHY WITH WORK SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS. THE INTENT IS TOPROVIDE SUFFICIENT DRAINAGE AWAY FROM NEW AND EXISTING BUILDINGSOR STRUCTURES.
4. WHERE EXISTING FINISHES, FACILITIES AND SURFACES ARE DISTURBED,DAMAGED OR REMOVED DURING THE COURSE OF THE CONSTRUCTIONOPERATIONS, THE CONTRACTOR IS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE AS NECESSARYTO MATCH EXISTING. ALL NEW MATERIALS ADDED SHALL MATCH EXISTING INALL RESPECTS.
5. LOCATIONS OF UTILITIES SHOWN ARE APPROXIMATE, AND CONTRACTORSHALL EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION IN EXCAVATING AND TRENCHING TOAVOID EXISTING DUCTS, PIPING, OR CONDUITS, ETC. AND TO PREVENTHAZARD TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIESAND STRUCTURES WHETHER OR NOT SHOWN AND/OR INSTALLED BY OTHERCONTRACTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECTOR ENGINEER, SHOULD SUCH UNIDENTIFIED CONDITIONS BE DISCOVERED.
6. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO LOCATE ANDPROTECT ALL SUBSTRUCTURES AND UTILITIES WITHIN THE LIMITS OF NEWWORK WHETHER SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT AND TO PROTECT THEMFROM DAMAGE. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND SHALLALSO BE RESPONSIBLE AND SHALL BEAR THE TOTAL EXPENSE OF REPAIR ORREPLACEMENT OF SUCH UTILITIES AND SUBSTRUCTURES WHERE DAMAGED BYHIS OPERATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH EXECUTION OF THIS WORK. THECONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGE ARISING FROMAND/OR CONNECTED WITH DAMAGE TO SAID UTILITIES AND SUBSTRUCTURESAS OUTLINED ABOVE.
7. ALL WORKERS SHALL WEAR APPROPRIATE SAFETY GEAR AND COMPLYWITH APPLICABLE SAFETY REGULATIONS.
8. DRESS AND BEHAVIOR OF ALL CONSTRUCTION WORKERS SHALL BEAPPROPRIATE TO THE JOB SITE AND BE ACCEPTABLE TO DISTRICTREPRESENTATIVES.
9. SMOKING SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED ON ANY AREA OF THE SITE.
10. THERE SHALL BE NO POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF DRUGS ORALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON THE JOB SITE BY ANY PERSON. ANY PERSONTHAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THESE REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE DIRECTEDTO LEAVE THE JOB SITE AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RETURN DURINGTHE REMAINDER OF THE CONTRACT.
11. SEE CFC CHAPTER 33 FOR FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION.
12. THESE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE NECESSARYCOMPONENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY.
13. TRANSPORTATION, ROAD AND ACCESS REQUIREMENTS ANDENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL LOCALORDINANCES.
14. ALL PERMITS AND FEES REQUIRED FOR THE COMPPLETION OF THISPROJECT WILL BE OBTAINED AND PAID FOR BY THE CONTRACTOR AND WILLBE REIMBURSED BY THE DISTRICT. THERE WILL BE NO DELAYS ACCEPTED ORADDITIONAL DAYS GRANTED FOR FAILURE BY THE CONTRACTOR TO OBTAINPERMITS IN A TIMELY MANNER TO ACHIEVE COMPLETION DATE.
