Introduction

We increase the efficiency of diesel and gas engines

• Most diesel and gas engines are 35-40% efficient.

• The rest of the fuel energy is converted to heat, and most of it is usually wasted.

• We utilise the hot exhaust gases, converting some of the heat energy into electricity, using our unique Electric Turbo Compounding (ETC) technology

• We thus create ‘free’ and ‘green’ additional electricity.

Depending on relative fuel and electricity prices, either:

• The fuel input to the engine can be reduced, to bring the total power back to

the original level, but with lower fuel consumption.

• Or additional electricity can be sold to the grid.

Electric Turbo

Compounding • The TG incorporates a very compact,

high speed (>30,000rpm), high efficiency (>98%) direct drive electrical alternator.

• The TG has its own self contained oil system, providing both lubrication and cooling.

• The existing turbocharger is replaced with a high efficiency model that is correctly matched to the TG downstream to optimize the energy recovery. A separate Power

• Electronics panel provides all control functions and conversion of the alternator output to grid quality
