• Kidney Deficiency Syndrome• Main manifestation: Failure in erection sometimes,
accompanied with spermatorrhea sometimes, thin “cold” essence(sperm)
• Accompanying symptoms and signs:Dizziness, tinnitus, palpitation,shortness of breath ,pale complexion, lassitude, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees,aversion to cold and cold limbs
• Tongue and pulse :a pale tongue with white coating , a thready and rapid pulse
Damp Heat Syndrome
• Main manifestations : short-time erection and premature ejaculation ,wet scrotum with foul smell
• Accompanying symptoms and signs:soreness and heaviness of the lower limbs,yellowish urine, fullness in the chest and diaphragm, poor appetite
• Tongue and pulse: a yellow and greasy tongue coating , a soft and rapid pulse
Treatment
Kidney deficiency syndrome
• Principle: warming the kidney and replenishing essence ,supplemen-ting Mingmen fire and strengthen-ing Yang
• Acupoint: Shenshu(BL23), Zhishi(BL52), Guanyuan(RN4), Sanyinjiao(SP6)
• Method: apply the reinforcing method with moxibustion
Damp Heat Syndrome
• Principle: clearing away heat and removing dampness, nourishing the kidney and controlling essence
• Acupoint: Zhongji(RN3), Huiyin(RN1),Taichong(LR3), Taixi(LI3), Sanyinjiao(SP6)
• Method: apply even method
Other Therapies
• Ear acupuncture: Uterus, External Genitalia, Testis,Endocrine.Apply filiform needles with moderate stimulation ,rotate the needles once evety ten minutes and retain the needles for 30 minutes

• Cold Dampness Obstruction• Main manifestations: cold pain occurs in the lower a
bdomen before or during menstruation,the pain is aggravated when pressure is applied,and may radiate to the back,but it may be alleviated when heat is applied, in acute cases,the pain radiates to the lower back
• Accompanying symptoms and signs:santy menstruation with dark menses, often with clots
• Tongue and pulse: A thin and white tongue coating, a deep and tense pulse
Liver Qi Stagnation• Main manifestations:distending pain in the lower a
bdomen before or during menstruation ,the feeling of distention being predominant to the pain, obstructed menstrual flow
• Accompanying symptoms and signs:Scanty periods often with clotted blood, accompanied by distending pain in the chest, hypochondrium and breasts
• Tongue and pulse: A dark tongue with ecchymosis, a thin and white coating, a deep and wiry pulse
Liver and kidney yin deficiency
• Main manifestions:Dull pain in the lower abdomen during or after menstruation ,alleviated by pressure
• Accompanying symptoms:pink,clear and thin menstrual blood, soreness of the lower back, dizziness,tinnitus, pale complexion, mental fatigue

• Principle: Dispersing cold and dampness, inducing menstruation to relieve pain, mainly selecting points from the Ren and the Foot Taiyin meridians
• Acupoint :Zhongji(RN3),Shuidao (ST28), Diji(SP8). In case of acute pain,Ciliao (BL32) and Guilai (ST29) may be added .For abdominal pain radiating to the lower back, Ming-men (DU4) and Shenshu (BL23) may be added

er qi for regulating the circlation of qi to promote menstrual flow
• Acupoint: Qihai(RN6), Taichong (LR3), Sanyinjiao(SP6)
