Congratulations on becoming a Rally Captain in the 2020 Traditional Marriage Crusade!

As Catholics we simply do not have the option of only being opposed to same-sex marriage, we

are obliged to act as well. Holding a Traditional Marriage Rosary Rally is an important way that you

can show your public support of marriage. It can be your way of saying, YES! to traditional marriage.

Your rally will also inspire those who observe your rally to also act.

The intentions for this Rosary Crusade are to beg God, Our Lady and Saint Joseph to protect

and preserve traditional marriage in America.

1. Traditional Marriage deserves public recognition. To quote Pope Pius XI in his encyclical on Christian Marriage, “How great is the dignity of chaste wedlock.”

2. To proclaim that marriage is between one man and one woman. Due to the sexual revo-

lution, society’s understanding of true marriage has become blurred. Let us charitably remind our fellow Americans what true marriage is.

3. Traditional Marriage is good for the family. Healthy marriages produce healthy families. 4. Traditional Marriage is good for America. America is simply a union of thousands of fam-

ilies. When marriage and the family are healthy so is America. “The fountainhead from which the State draws its life (is) wedlock and the family.” Pope Pius XI.

5. “Many marriages are not good and do not please Our Lord.” Our Lady of Fatima to

Blessed Jacinta. This was said by Our Lady in 1917. What would Our Lady say today? We need to offer public prayer so that Holy and Traditional Marriage will be restored in America.

6. Saint Joseph is “the Spouse of the Mother of God” and “the Pillar of Families.” These

rallies are being held in his honor seeking his intervention to restore traditional marriage to America.

7. “The entire Christian life bears the mark of the spousal love of Christ and the Church.

Christian marriage in its turn becomes an efficacious sign, the sacrament of the covenant of Christ and the Church.” Paragraph 1617 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

8. We can have total confidence that our public prayer will get results. Our prayers will

bring graces down upon all who see our rallies and will help restore traditional marriage and the family in America.

9. Half of marriages end in divorce. This is not part of God’s plan. Our prayerful presence

and sacrifice of offering our rally in public will help to foster traditional and wholesome mar-riages that produce children who will become candidates for heaven.

10. In times of evil, we have an even greater duty to stand up for the teachings and insti-

tutions of the Church. By these rallies let us show Our Lord that we stand up for traditional marriage which was created by Him. In return He will bless our efforts and count us among His chosen disciples just like Saint Veronica, the Holy Women, Saint John, Saint Mary Mag-dalene and of course, Our Lady.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protec-tion, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

1. Be polite and calm and happy when you represent the noble cause of traditional marriage. 2. Take at least 8 people with you and do not block the sidewalk or traffic. 3. Keep the rally short, about 45 minutes. Pray the rosary. 4. Demonstrate at a visible and public intersection to reach the

largest possible audience in the shortest amount of time. 5. Besides displaying your large marriage banner (supplied for

free), hold signs such as “HONK” for God’s marriage. 6. Pray and offer sacrifice. This rally for God’s marriage is spir-

itual warfare and we must be covered in God’s armor. 7. Bring a digital or video camera. Keep it on ready. Take pic-

tures/footage of any inappropriate behavior. In the unlikely case of disruption, call 911. Pray the Memorare prayer for immediate help from the Blessed Mother.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR RALLY CAPTAINS

INVITATIONS Invite as many as you can in person, by phone and by using the sample invitation on page 6. Here is a sample script that you might find helpful for inviting others to join you:

“I want to invite you to join in a Traditional Marriage Rosary Rally on Saturday, March 21st at 12:00 Noon at (Location). This Pub-lic Square Traditional Marriage Rosary Rally sponsored by America Needs Fatima will be one of over 3,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States on that day. Please join us in offering reparation for

the sins and offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to fer-vently pray for Traditional Marriage and for the conversion of the United States. Will you be able to join me and other Catholics on that very important day?”

One useful tip to assist you in having a good rally is to ask the people that you invite to help with a specific task. It can be greeting and di-recting arrivals; passing out programs; taking pictures; asking each attendee to complete the attendance sheet; leading a specific decade of the Rosary, etc.

LOCATIONS

Remember, this is a PUBLIC SQUARE rally. The best locations for your rally are those with high visibility. You want the public to see you praying the Rosary! When in doubt about a gathering at a decided location, contact your local authorities and explain to them the partic-ulars of your rally. They will answer your ques-tions regarding any lawful requirements for specific locations.

If you intend to hold your rally on private prop-erty, be sure to obtain permission from the owner/manager. This includes malls, shopping centers, parking lots, etc.

TIMES

ALL rallies should start at noon, LOCAL TIME! This is important as we want to pray together in unity all across our time zone. This will cre-ate a wave of reparation and prayer offered to Our Lord. MATERIALS America Needs Fatima will provide each rally captain with a free banner and a rally captain manual (in English) while supplies last.

Additional materials can be downloaded from our website at www.ANF.org. If you would like, designs of our banner and other signs can also be downloaded and taken to your local copy center for reproduction.

Store your banner in such a way that it can be used again for the following year. We recom-mend rolling the banner in a tubular fashion as opposed to folding it. Store it in a cool, dry lo-cation. Remember, DO NOT put any holes in your banner in order to mount or to secure it. This banner material is very durable. However, if you cut it or put holes in it, it will tear very easily and will be ruined. We recommend

using Velcro on the ends and attaching it to PVC or round metal posts. If you are inter-ested in this procedure, please go to www.ANF.org and click on the Rosary Rally Central icon for instructional information about mounting your banner.

PHOTOS TAKE THOSE PICTURES! The photos of your rally are of vital importance to us! We want to share the grace of Our Lady’s work for all to see! That is why we ask you to email us your photos at [email protected]. Remem-ber, there will be thousands of rallies taking place on the same day as yours. Unfortunately, even though we would love to do so, we are not able to scan paper photos (prints).

FINALLY Being a Rosary Rally Captain is a tremendous honor, but also a great responsibility. By signing up to become a rally captain you have said, “Yes” to Our Lady and to Saint Joseph! As a result, Our Lady and Saint Joseph are count-ing on you to persevere with holding your rally.
