MANUFACTURER’S STATEMENT OF ORIGIN (MSO)Most states require that you register your boat if it has a motor or will be used with a motor. Also, several states require you to register the boat if it exceeds a certain length. To determine the registration requirements, please check with your state licensing bureau. This varies from state to state, but is often the Secretary of State, Department of Natural Resources or the Department of Motor Vehicles. where you purchased the boat. C. Make of boat: use name from boat decal. Model
of boat: located on the capacity tag.D. Model year: the last two digits of the Hull
Identification Number. For example: 19 = 2019.E. Year built: the third number from the last of the
Hull Identification Number. For example: 9 = 2019.F. Hull Identification Number: this number is located
on the outside of the boat in the back on the hull. It is a twelve digit number that begins with JOK.
G. Length: found in owner’s manual or point-of- purchase label.
H. Propulsion: if your boat has a motor or will be used with a motor check outboard and fill in the horsepower (hp) rating of your motor. Otherwise, check manual.
