( 30 % of the total Population of the District- 2011 Census population of West Tripura - 9.88 lakh)– Number of Rural accounts opened under PMJDY– 87758 (29.2%)– Number of urban accounts opened under PMJDY– 212016 (70.7%)

• Number of PMJDY accounts held by women-97110(33%)• Number of PMJDY accounts linked with Aadhar – 223237 (74.47%)• Number of RuPay cards issued – 261726 (87.3%)• Number of RuPay cards activated – 149922 (57.3% )• Number of zero balance PMJDY accounts – 46880 (15.64%)• Number of zero balance accounts for women-13595 ( 14 %)• Total Deposits in PMJDY accounts – Rs.119.61 crore• Total Number of PMJDY account holders under social security

Efforts for Activation of RuPay Card

• During 2015-16, Bank Mitras have carried out total 22,18,247 transactions with an amount of Rs.545.64 Crore.

Aadhar seeding of PMJDY accounts

• Total Aadhar enrollment of West Tripura District- 96 %

• Aadhar seeding in prevention of pilferage and weeding of bogusaccounts.

• 2,23,237 (74.47%) PMJDY accounts have been seeded withAadhaar till date.

• MGNREGA – 164643 accounts have already been seeded withAadhar in West Tripura out of total 171023 accounts (96.27 %)

• Target to seed all remaining PMJDY accounts with Aadhar by May2016.

• Regular monitoring Aadhar seeding of all accounts in DCC &SLBC meetings.

Impact of PMJDY in West Tripura District

• PMJDY scheme helped in achieving 100% financial inclusion in remote /tribal/rural and leftout urban areas of West Tripura.

• More than 1 lakh PMJDY account holders have availed the facility of overdraft and used it for working capital purpose.

• Awareness Camps in colleges/technical institutes about PMJDY - by Lead Bank(UBI)

• Having one day of the week dedicated to PMJDY scheme in banks- Bharatiya Mahila Bank

Success of West Tripura district in achieving Total Financial Inclusion

• West Tripura District has already achieved Total Financial Inclusion.

• As on date there are 1209154 bank accounts under West Tripura District (including 299774 bank accounts under PMJDY) which is more than the total population of entire District (2011 census population- 9.88 lakh).

• The district received Prime Minister’s award for Excellence in Public Administration (2013-14)for Total Financial Inclusion through e-RoR piloted in Mandwi RD Block

• District Administration has started an innovative drive of bringing all the 6000 Interstate Migrant Workers working in 95 Brick Kilns in West Tripura district, by special PMJDY account opening camps.
