3) CONCLUSIONS
Management of the GSAA requires a greater workload and staff with
GIS knowledge.
GSAA allow to make more effective checks comparing with
alphanumerical.
Geo-spatial data makes the on-the-spot checks easier, specially those
related to “greening”
Control and amendment of overlaps is a very laborious work. It is
important to make an effort in prevention and try to avoid them.
Farmers should be aware of the implications of the GSAA.
Provision of information to farmers and publication of the applications
layer has contributed to the decrease of overlaps and penalties.
