just haven't thought of it yet”

Strategy. That all-encompassing word which drives our goal

orientation has its origins, rightly, in the military. Hosted at

Manfest 2011, Imperatoria, the consulting and strategy flagship,tests teams on how good they are with Sun Tzu’s particular art.

How quick are teams at sampling limited information and

arriving at sound decisions? How do they handle a plethora of

options to arrive at the best one? Aimed at general management

and consulting enthusiasts, Imperatoria will test skill sets that

distinguish the merely good from the excellent.

The teams use limited resources (provided to them) to find and

grow their empire steering it through various strategic,

marketing, financial and operational challenges that present

themselves in each round of the event. Each round will test the

ability of the team to take decisions when facing ambiguity and

tough competition

Event Rules & Guidelines

• The event is open to all b-schools for participation

• Participants are required to register in teams of 2 (from same

college) at http://register.iimlmanfest.com

•

The Event will be held in 2 Phases• Phase 1: Online prelims will be conducted at 22:00 hours,

January 9th, 2011

• Phase 2: Top 6 teams will be shortlisted for the grand finale

and will be invited to On-Campus rounds at Manfest 2011

(Jan 22nd – 23rd )

• Teams are expected to complete an online test at assessment

center http://prelims.iimlmanfest.com

• Teams will be selected based on their preliminary online

assessment results

• Refer to specific Round sections, Submission guidelines and

Timelines section for more details

• The decision of the organizers and judging panel will be binding

Rules and Regulations



Phase 1: Prelims

•Each team is required to take the online prelims at

http://prelims.iimlmanfest.com in a timed mode

•The assessment will be conducted online at 22:00 hrs, January

9th , 2011

•Further rules and details about the preliminary round will be

available at the assessment center portal•Teams are advised to go through the instructions at the

beginning of the test to understand the format of the test and

the time provided for the test.

•6 top teams will be selected based on the results of the online

assessment.

•

There is no upper limit on the number of teams that canqualify from one college

Phase 2: On-Campus Rounds

•6 selected teams will also be required to participate in the on-

campus rounds during the Manfest, 22nd

to 23rd

January•All 6 teams participating at the Grand Finale at IIM Lucknow

will be reimbursed 2 way 3rd -AC fare from the participant’s

destination to Lucknow (as listed on the website)
