The IMPACT Human Relations Video Exam focuses on using good judgment, integrity and teamwork in the juvenile corrections environment. It was specifically designed for people working with adolescent offenders. Candidates will watch a video segment and choose the best course of action in a multiple-choice format. This test is presented on video and the items play without stopping. Candidates will have 10 seconds to answer each question.

The IMPACT Human Relations Video Test measures:

• Emotional self control

reading Ability test

The IMPACT Reading Test is designed specifically for measuring reading ability to the standard juvenile officer required reading level. Working with juvenile offenders requires the on-going reading and comprehension of the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), bulletins, laws and other juvenile correction specific materials. The IMPACT Reading Test is content valid, addressing the reading competency needed for the job. The IMPACT Reading Test gauges standard reading level for correctional and probation officers.

imPAct Promote supervisory ExamPromotions are among the most important and far reaching decision that managers in juvenile justice make. Effective supervisory staff assure consistent, high-level unit functioning and role model the expected professional approach with youth. The IMPACT Promote Supervisory Exam consists of a video-based employee observation component and a series of written situational judgement questions that directly measure the skills necessary to become an effective supervisor and manager in the juvenile corrections environment. IMPACT Promote can be used for hiring any general management positions.
