1.2 RemovingthebackcoverWiththescreenfacingdownunclipthebackcoverofyourIMOQ4Profromthebottomleftcorner.Thereisasmallindentinthecovertoassistyou.

1.3 InstallingtheSIMcard

ToinsertyourSIMcard,makesurethecorneroftheSIMcardwiththetriangularedgemissingisonthetopright,andinsertintotheslotasshowninthediagrambelow.Yourphoneonlysupportsnano-SIMcard.DonotattempttoinsertotherSIMtypeslikemicroorminicardsotherwiseyoumaydamageyourphone.

1.4 Installingandchargingthebattery

AfteryourSIMcardhasbeeninstalled,youcannowinsertyourbattery.Pleasemakesurethe3goldconnectingpinsarealignedonthetopleftofthebatterywiththe3connectionpinsonthehandset.Nowsecurelyclipthebackcoverbackontoyourhandset.

Tochargethebattery,connectthesmallendoftheUSBchargingcabletoyourphoneusingtheMicroUSBportatthetopofthephone.Connecttheotherendtotheplugandinsertintomainssockettostartchargingyourphone.Werecommendchargingyourdevicefullybeforeyoufullysetupyourphone.Thisshouldtakearound1hour.Toreduceyourphone’spowerconsumptionyoucanswitchoffWi-Fi,GPS,Bluetoothorappsrunninginthebackgroundwhennotneeded.Insettingsyoucanalsolowerthebrightnessofthescreenandshortenthelengthoftimebeforethescreengoestosleep

1.5 InstallingamicroSDcard(notincluded) InsertamicroSDcardasshowninthediagrambelow.NotesomeapplicationsmayrequireamicroSDcardtoworkandmaysavedataonit.ThereforeitisrecommendedyoukeepthemicroSDcardinstalledanddonotremoveorreplaceitrandomly.

continue.

- Selectifyouwanttocopyappsanddataorstartasnew.

- SigninwithyourGoogleaccountifyoualreadyhaveoneorifyoudonothaveanaccountalreadytouchCreateanewaccountorpressSkip.

- ReadGoogleServicesandthenACCEPT- Protectyourphone,setthescreenlockoption

youwishusingFingerprintonly,Fingerprintandpattern/PIN/PasswordorselectSKIP.

- Youcanlockyourphonescreenwithpatterns,PIN,passwordorFaceLock.Todothis,gotoSettings>Security&Location>Screenlock.Choosetheoptionyouwouldliketosetfollowingtheonscreeninstructions.

- Foreaseofuse,youcanunlockyourphoneusingfacialrecognitionbysimplylookingatit.

- Toset-upfacialrecognitionselectFaceLockandfollowtheon-screeninstructions.

- NOTE:Face-matchingislesssecurethanapattern,PINorpassword.Someonewholookslikeyou,orwhohasaphotoorvideoofyoumaybeabletounlockyourphone.

1.10 UsingtheHardkeys

- Volumekeysduringacallthesekeyswilladjustthevolumeoftheearpieceorheadset.InMusic/Video/Streamingmodethesewilladjustthemediavolume.Thesekeysadjusttheringtone

volumeandwillmutetheringtoneofanincomingcall.

- PowerKey–Pressandhold,turnsthephoneoff/on.Presstoactivatethelockscreen/wake-upscreen.Longpress,displaystheoptions:Poweroff,Restart,Screenshot.

- AlternativelylongpressthePowerkeyandtheVolumedownkeytocaptureascreenshot.

1.11 Notificationpanel

PulldowntheStatusbartoopentheNotificationpanel.Hereyoucanviewnetworkinformation,newevents,shortcutstosettings.Fromthispanelyoucanquicklyopenandcloseapplications,clearallnotifications.Pullupfromthebottomofthepaneltoclose.

1.12 QuickSettingsDraggingdownthestatusbaropenstheQuickSettingspanel.Inthepanelyoucanconfigurethefollowingsettings:

2. TextMessaging,MMS&GmailYourphonecancreate,editandreceivechat,SMSandMMSmessages.2.1SendinganewtextTosendatexttoacertainphonenumber

-GototheHomepageandtouchthe iconintheFavouritestray.-Inthemessagelistscreen,touchthestartchaticontowritenewtext/multimediamessages.-Click“typeaname,phonenumber,oremailaddress”boxtostarttheinputmethod.Enteraphonenumberornameofcontactorselectfrom‘TopContacts’.-Writetheinformationyouwant.

-Clickthe buttonandyourmessagewillbesent.

2.2SendinganewMMS

WhencreatingamessageitwillautomaticallydefaulttoanSMS.TosendanMMSselectthephotofromthegalleryapplicationandtouchtheshareicon.-SelectMessages,youwillbegivenanoptionofrecentconversationsorselect‘Newmessage’.-Addtexttothemessageifrequired.

-Clickthe buttonandyourMMSwillbesent.2.3SendingmessagestoagroupofContacts-Inthemessagelistscreen,touchthestartchaticontowritenewtext/multimediamessages.-Select‘Startgroupconversation’.-Click“typeaname,phonenumber,oremailaddress”boxtostarttheinputmethod.Entergroupnumbersintheboxbymanuallyenteringthephonenumberorchoosebycontacts.-Writetheinformationyouwant.

-Clickthe buttonandyourmessagewillbesent.Ifthemessagefailedtosendaredcirclewithanexclamationmarkwillappear.

2.4Managemessages

Whenanewmessagearrives,an iconwillbeshownonthestatusbarasanotification.Pulldownthestatusbartoopenthe

Notificationpanel,touchthenewmessagetoopenit.Youcanalsoopenitviathemessagesapplication.

Messagesaredisplayedasconversations.

Toreplytoamessage,touchthereceivedmessagetoenterthe

messagecomposingscreen,enterthetext,thenclickthe button.

Ifyoulongpressamessageinthemessagedetailsscreenyouwillbegivenoptionstoarchive,delete,AddtoContacts,blocktheselectednumber.Ifyouchoosetoblockthenumberyouwillnotreceiveanycallsortextsfromthisnumber.

2.5Adjustmessagesettings

Inthemessagelistscreen,touch andselectSettings.Youwillseethefollowingoptions:

-ChatFeatures:thesesettingsallowyoutoenablechatfeaturessuchasusingWi-Fiordataformessages.Youcansetreadreceipts,letothersknowyouaretyping,resendmessagesifundelivered.Youcanselecttoauto-downloadfilesovermobile.-Notifications:Touchon/offtoturnonnotificationsforMessages.

Othernotifications:Behaviourallowsyoutochoosethenotificationtypeforincomingmessages.Advanced:Touchtosetadditionalsettingsformessages.ChooseifyouwanttoshownotificationswhenDoNotDisturbmodeisenabled.-Additionalsettingsintheapp:touchtosetadditionalsettingsforMessages.-Hearoutgoingmessagesounds:Touchtoenable/disabletohearmessagesoundswhenyousendamessage.-Yourcurrentcountry:Touchtochooseyourcurrentcountry.

2.6 Gmailset-upThefirsttimeyousetupyourphone,youcanchoosetouseanexistingGmailaccountortocreateanewEmailaccount.GmailisconfiguredwhenyoufirstsetupyourphoneandcanbeautomaticallysynchronisedwithyourGmailaccountontheinternet.Eachemailanditsreplieswillbegroupedinyourinboxassingleconversations.

Youcanactivateoreditexistinge-mailaccountsaswellascreateanewe-mailaccount.

TosetupanewGmailaccountoranotheremailaccountyouneedtoaccesstheGmailapp,touchtheApplicationtabandselect>Gmail

YouareprovidedwiththeoptiontoAddanotheremailaddress.Youcanaddorset-upexternalemailaccounts,someoptionsarealreadyprovidedGoogle,Outlook,HotmailandLive,Yahoo,ExchangeandOffice365orother.WhenyouhavecompletedthestepstoaddanotheremailaccountyouareabletoswitchtoanotheraccountbytouchingtheaccountnamefromtheInboxscreen.

2.7 Sendinganemail.-TouchthepeniconfromtheInboxscreen.-EntertherecipientsemailaddressintheTofield.-Ifrequired,touchthepopupmenu(downarrow)iconAddCc/Bcc.-Enterthesubjectandthecontentofthemessage.-Touchthepaperclipicontoaddanattachment.-Whenfinishedpressthesendicontosendtheemail.

-Toaddasignaturetoemails,touchthe icon,touchSettingsfromtheInbox,chooseanaccount,thenselectMobileSignature.

2.8 ReceiveandreademailsWhenyoureceiveanewemailyouwillgetanotificationbyeitheraringtoneorvibrationandaniconwillbedisplayedontheStatusbar.DragdowntheStatusbartodisplaytheNotificationpanel.Selectthenewemailtoviewit.YoucanalsoviewtheemailviatheGmailapp.

3 PhoneCalls3.1 Makingacall

Tomakeacallwhenthephoneisactive,gototheHome

screenandtouchthephone iconintheFavouritestray.EnterthephonenumberyouwantintothedialpaddirectlybytouchingthedialpadinthecentreorbottomrightofthescreenorselectcontactfromFavourites,Recent,Contactsbytouchingtabs,thentouch(phoneicon)toactivatethecall.

ThenumberyouentercanbesavedtoContactsbytouchingthe“Createnewcontact”or“Addtoacontact”option.YoucansendanSMStothenumberifyouwant.

Ifyoumakeamistake,youcandeleteanyincorrectdigitsbytouchingthe“backspace”button.

Tofinishacalltouchthe“hangup”button.

Everynumbercalledandreceivedwillbestoredinthephone’scalllog.Allnumbersinthecalllogcanbedialledbyclickingthe“dial”buttonontherightsideofthescreen.

WhenthenumberlistisshownyoucanclickonanumbertoseeoptionstoCreateanewcontact,Addtoacontact,Sendamessage,Blocknumber,Calldetails.IfyoutouchCalldetailsyoucanCopy,Edit,Deletethenumber.

TomakeanInternationalCalllongpress0toenter“+”,thenentertheinternationalcountryprefixcodefollowedbythefullphonenumber,thentouchthedialtomakethecall.

Ifyourphonehasnetworkcoveragedialtheemergencynumberandtouchdialtomakeanemergencycall.ThiswillworkevenifthephonedoesnothaveaSIMcard.

3.2 AnsweringorrejectingacallWhenyoureceiveacalltouchANSWERtoanswerthecallorDECLINEtorejectthecall.Ifyourphonescreenislockedwhenyoureceiveacallswipeuptoanswerthecall.

Swipetheicon inthelowerleftcornertodeclinethecallwithamessage.Thecallwillnotbeansweredandthecallerwillreceiveacorrespondingtextmessage.

Tomuteincomingcalls,presstheVolumeup/downkey.

3.3 CallingVoicemailVoicemailisaserviceprovidedbyyournetworkoperator.To

setyourvoicemailnumbertouchthe key,thentouchSettings>Voicemail>AdvancedsettingsandtouchSetup.Tolistentoyourvoicemaillongpress“1”onPhonetab.

3.4 Duringacall

Yourphonehasaproximitysensorandusingthedistancebetweenthephoneandthebodyitwillautomaticallyadjustthebacklight.Duringacallthebacklightwillturnoffautomatically,whichcouldsavebatteriesandpreventinadvertenttouchingofkeysonthephone.

Toadjustthevolumeduringacall,presstheVolumeup/downkey.

3.5Managingatwo-waycallandconferencecall

Yourphonecanmanagemultiplecallsatthesametime.Pleasenoteyournetworkoperatorneedstosupporttwo-wayandconferencecallingfeatures.

Youcansetupaconferencecallbyclickingon anddialanothercallorifreceiveanothercall,thephonewilldefaultandopen“callwaiting”.

Telephonerecordingduringacall，Click torecordthecall.

3.6CallSettings

FromthePhonescreen,touchthe keyandselectSettings.Thefollowingoptionsareavailable:

- Displayoptions:TouchtosortcontactsdisplaybyFirstnameorLastname.

- Quickresponses:Touchtoeditthequickresponsetextmessageswhichwillbeusedwhenyourejectacallwithmessages.

- Calls:TouchtosetFixedDiallingNumber(Operatordependent),Touchenable/disableWi-Ficalling,Touchenable/disablevideocalling.Callforwardingoptionswhenyouarebusy,notabletoanswerorunreachable.CallbarringandAdditionalSettings

- Voicemail:Touchtosetvoicemailnumberandvoicemailnotificationswhenavoicemailisreceived.

- Accessibility:Touchtoenable/disablehearing-aidcompatibility.- CallRecording:Touchtoenable/disableautomaticrecording.- Fliptosilencecall:Touchtoactivatethisfeature.- Fastdialsettings:Choosethefastdialsettingsyouwant.- Promptsforcallconnection:Touchtoactivatevibrationfeedback

foroutgoingcallsanduponcalldisconnection.- Fade-inringer:Touchtoenablethisfeature.

Otheroptionsavailablewhenyoutouch inthephonescreenare:

- Callhistory:Displaysrecentcallsmadefromthephoneapplication.

- CallBlocking:Touchtoaddthenumberofcontactsyoudon'twanttoreceivebyphoneortextmessage.Seethenumbersyouhaveblocked.

4. Contacts

YoucanviewandcreatecontactsonyourphoneandsynchronisethesewithyourGmailcontactsorotherappsoronyourphone.

4.1ViewyourContactsToaccesstheContactsapp,touchtheApplicationtaband

select>Contacts .ThedefaultsettingwilldisplayyourmobilephonecontactsandSIMcardcontacts.

4.2 AddingaContactTouchtheApplicationtabontheHomescreen,select

Contacts,thentouchthe iconinthecontactlisttocreateanewcontact.Thefirsttimeyoudothisyouwillbepromptedtoselectadefaultaccountfornewcontacts:Googleaccount,PhoneorSIMcard.

Toaddacontacttofavourites,youcantouchacontacttoviewdetailsthentouchthe“star”keytoaddthecontacttoyourfavourites.Toremoveacontactfromfavourites,touchthe“star”keyonthecontactdetailsscreen.

4.3 EditingContactsToeditcontactinformationtouchthepenciliconinthecontactdetailsscreen.WhenfinishedtouchSAVE.

4.4 Importing,exportingandsharingcontacts

IntheContactdisplay,clickontheMenubutton ,touchSettingsthentouchImport/Exportcontactstoimport/exportcontactsfrom/toyourSIMcard,Phone,Accounts,Internalstorageetc.Toimport/exportasinglecontactfrom/toyourSIMcard.ChooseanaccountandSIMcard,selectthecontactyouwantandtouchOKtoconfirm.Toimport/exportallcontactsfrom/toyourSIMcard,chooseanaccount,selectSIMcard,touchSelectallandtouchOKtoconfirm.YoucanshareasinglecontactormultiplecontactswithothersviaBluetooth,Gmailetc.Todothistouchacontact

youwanttoshare,touch andShare.SelecthowyouwishtosharethecontactviaMessages,Gmail,Bluetoothorother.

4.5 Displayingcontacts

Youcandecidewhichgroupofcontactsyouwanttodisplay

intheContactlist.TouchtheMenukey thentouchSettings,thenContactstodisplayfromtheContactslistscreen,thenyoucanchoosewhichcontactstodisplay.

4.6 SynchronisingcontactsinmultipleaccountsContacts,dataandotherinformationcanbesynchronisedacrossmultipleaccountsdependingontheappsinstalledon

yourphone.Toaddanaccounttouch iconontheQuickSettingsbartogettoSettings,thentouchAccounts.SelecttheaccountyouareaddingsuchasGoogle,Exchange.Aswithotheraccountset-upsyouwillneedtoenterinformationsuchasusername,passwordetc.Youcanremoveanaccountandallassociatedinformationfromthephone.OpentheSettingsscreen,touchtheaccountyouwishtodeletethentouchREMOVEACCOUNTtoconfirm.YoucansynchroniseanaccountonAccountsscreen,touch

besideAutomaticallysyncdata.

5 Wi-FiYoucanconnecttotheinternetwhenyourphoneisinrangeofawirelessnetwork.Wi-FicanbeusedonyourphoneevenifaSIMcardisnotinserted.

5.1TurnWi-FionandaddaWi-Finetwork

-TouchthesettingsbuttoninQuickSettingstogototheSettingsmenu,thentouchNetwork&Internet>Wi-Fi.-Touchthebuttontoturnon/offWi-Fi.-TurnonWi-Fi:informationregardingallnearbydetectednetworksisdisplayedintheWi-Finetworkssection.

The symbolwillshowwhenthereareopenavailablenetworkstoconnectto.

-TouchaWi-Finetworktoconnecttoit.Ifthenetworkissecureyouwillbeaskedforthepassword(orothersecurityinformation,contactthenetworkproviderforthesedetails).Whenyouarefinishedtouch“Connect”.Whensuccessfullyconnectedyouwill

see symbolinthestatusbar.

Unlessyouchoosetoforgetthenetwork,yourphonewillsearchautomaticallyforyoursavedWi-Finetworkswhenyouareinrange.

5.2 ConnectingtootherWi-FinetworksIntheNetwork&Internetmenu,touchWi-Fi.TheconnectedWi-FinetworkwillshowontheWi-Finetworklist.TouchSavednetworkstoseeothernetworksyouhavepreviouslyconnectedtoandtouchtoselecttochangeandconnecttothatnetwork.TouchingAddnetworkenablesyoutoaddWi-Finetworksettingsmanually.

5.3ToforgetaWi-FinetworkTurnonWi-Fi.IntheWi-Fiscreenlongpressthenameofthesavednetwork.TouchForget.

6. BluetoothBluetoothisashort-rangewirelesscommunicationtechnologythatyoucanusetoexchangedataortoconnecttootherBluetoothdevicesforvarioususes.

ToaccesstheBluetoothfunctiontouchthe iconintheQuicksettingsbartogettoSettings,thentouchConnecteddevices.Yourdeviceandotheravailableoneswillbedisplayedinthelist.
