IM-MUNE PRP PRO contains pure bovine colostrum which is rich in immunoglobulins, especially IgG, as well as IgA and IgM. In addition to these immune system enhancers, bovine colostrum contains viable cells, such as neutrophils and macrophages, which secrete special proteins that fight microbes; these proteins include cytokines, lactoferrin, and proline-rich polypeptides (PRP). Research suggests that the immune factors in bovine colostrum work in concert to de-fend the body against pathogens and infectious agents. Moreover, research has demonstrated that bovine colostrum works to support a healthy gut by fighting bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Another study shows that bovine colostrum directly lowers NF-kappaB in intestinal cells, the key inflammatory gene signal that is elevated during tissue destruction of the GI lining.
