Christmas Blessings

“For a child is born to us, a son is given us; the royal ornament is laid upon his shoulder, and his name is proclaimed: ‘Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace…’”,(Is 9:5). Christmas is not a day. It is a lifetime of growth in holiness by generous giving of oneself. I pray that this Christmas we will all open ourselves to God’s gift and allow a new Spirit of generous love to be born in our hearts. Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth...may we begin to see the world in the light of the understanding you give us. As you choose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart.
