Day 2 – Friday 4/20 (B, L) Havana

Guided walking tour of Old Havana. Havana was of such value to the Spanish Empire that after its capture by the British in the 1700´s, Spain gave all of Florida and parts of Louisiana for its return.

Lunch at La Dominica (included meal)

Continued walking tour of Old Havana including a visit to the Cathedral

Guided visit to the Museum of the Revolution - to understand Cuba is to

understand its Revolution Dinner at leisure

Day 3 – Saturday 4/21 (B) Havana

A discussion of Afro Cuban religions and Santeria by local expert accompanied by authentic Santeria dancers and musical group. An opportunity to learn and to share

Remainder of the day and evening at leisure Dinner at your leisure to enjoy Havana’s many private

restaurants (Paladares) and the night life 8:30 pm - Optional Non Included Performance at the

National Theatre. Your guide will reserve orchestra seats for those wishing to attend. Cost is approximately $40 per person or other performance. Havana is a town full of activity

Day 4 – Sunday – 4/22 – Havana (B, L)

Guided tour of the Bellas Artes Museum – Cuba collection – the history of Cuba through its art – led by the museum curator of contemporary art

Lunch at La Ferminia ( include meal) Visit to Fuster – considered by many the Gaudi of Cuba Evening at your leisure to enjoy the many private restaurants

Day 5 – Monday 4/23 (B, L) Havana Visit to the rehearsal of one of the many dance companies in Havana Lunch at (included meal) a private restaurant which tries to revisit the

traditional Cuban dishes Visit to Hemingway’s home in Cuba – La Finca Vigia – just as he left it.

Time to visit Cojimar the inspiration for his classic ‘ Old Man and the Sea”

ISA visit – Universidad de las Artes – Cuba’s main and most prestigious art school

Dinner at leisure Optional Activity – visit to the FAC –

housed in an old olive oil factory it combines theatre, gallery and dance house

Day 6 – Tuesday April 24 (B, D)

Visit to John Lennon Statue to celebrate peace through dance. Visit to Iglesia de San Francisco de Paula built in 1664 now a concert

hall containing lovely art by several of the most famous Cuban contemporary artists. The hospital, formerly attached to the church, was the first to accept woman of all races and economic status

Craft Market – the home of free enterprise in Cuba. For those willing to search there are some treasures to be found

Jefe’s seven-hour speeches and the Pope’s visits. Visit to a farmer’s market – where Cubans shop – your guide will try to

explain the ‘Cuban economy’ Transfer to the airport Flight to Miami
