Camera Angles

High AngleHigh angle shots make the model seem inferior to the viewer so I do not believe this would work well for my magazine. Low Angle

Low angle shots make the model seem superior to the viewer and so I do not believe this would work well with my magazine.

Eye LevelEye level shots add a personal touch to images, especially when paired with direct mode of address. These types of images would work well with my magazine as they would draw in my target audience.

Different Shots

Extreme Long ShotI do not believe an extreme long shot would work with my magazine as they are impersonal and so my target audience would not connect with them.

Very Long Shot Medium ShotI believe a medium shot would work well for my contents page or double page spread but not my front cover as I would not be able to include enough detail in the image.

Different Shots

Mid ShotMid Shots range from around the head of the person to their chest or waist. I believe mid shots would work well on my magazine cover when paired with direct mode of address.

Close UpClose Ups are focused on the face, from the top of the head to the chin, neck or shoulders. I believe that close up shots would work well on my front cover as they are personal.

Extreme Close UpExtreme close ups focus on one aspect of the model’s face and so I do not believe this type of shot would be suitable for my dominant image, but maybe for my sub images.

Lighting

High KeyHigh key images will work best for my magazine cover as they smooth over any perfections leaving a flawless and professional look.

Low KeyLow key images will not work for my magazine cover as they are harshly lit and so do not include a lot of detail in them.

Backlight Chiaroscuro (High Contrasts)
