Discrete Wavelet Transform
y Wavelet Transform exhibits time frequency localizationand yields acceptable fused output.
y The edges and singularities are not well represented.
y Suffers from limited directionality
y The point singularity is better suited for wavelets in 1D
signals ,but 2D signals like images have curve or line
singularities where wavelets fails to approximate.
