IMACS 2013 WORLD CONGRESS
Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the 15th IMACS world congress, at theRoyal University Centre Maria Cristina in San Lorenzo del Escurial. In my opinion,this event was a real success, both for its high-level scientific content and for thesocial and scientific exchanges which took place at the side of the sessions. Mostattendants were housed in the cloister of the Centre, in a very calm atmosphere,and cared for by Father Agustin Alonso and his team, thus provided with conditionspropitious for excellent work. There were very interesting talks, either in the plenarylectures or in the various parallel sessions, including satellite event MASCOT, whichI have been regularly attending over the last 6 years. The programme allowed bothfor attending a large number of talks and having side discussion with some of themost proeminent scientists in the field, discussing global trends and current work...In one word, I thought that the organisation really made a huge work to make asuccess of this event, to which I am very glad that I could participate.
