IKO-TAMS Bulletin Published Quarterly By Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio -Token and Medal Society IKO-TAMS Bulletin Vol. 38 No. 2 August 2015 REGIONAL MEETING- We met at Warsaw, IN as scheduled. Present were 10-12 members and guests including Myles Patton who traveled a long way from the Columbus, OH area. During the short business meeting, the most important item was the election of Ron Vore to Life Member status. He was deemed to have earned the honor in view of the following accomplishments: long-time token researcher supplying large amounts of information to authors Lloyd Wagaman and Kevin Grant; support of the annual shows; service as our VP since 2010. - A change of future regional meeting days to the first or second Sunday of the month rather than a Saturday was discussed. I WOULD APPRECIATE COMMENTS ON THE SUBJECT. INDIANA BOOKS - Every member was mailed a special announcement regarding the availability of the second edition "Indiana Trade Tokens" by Kevin Grant, and a retype of the original Lloyd Wagaman book, each of which may be mail ordered or purchased at our October show. -- Not previously mentioned is the fact WE OWE A DEBT OF GRATITUDE TO LIFE MEMBER BILL HAMM WHO DONATED YEARS OF RESEARCH AND CATALOGING INFO TO KEVIN. You may get info for ordering books from our website (IKOTAMS.org or .com) or by contacting any officer. ANNUAL SHOW 2015- Oct. 2nd and 3n1 are rapidly drawing near. Please make every effort to attend the show, or at least participate in the mail bid auction to add goodies to your collection while supporting our dealers and consignors who, hopefully, will be motivated to participate in a like manner again next year. Don't forget our dealers also like to buy - so dig 'em out and bring 'em in for an offer. Token and Medal literature on a variety of subjects is also available for purchase. Of interest, we have a first time table reservation from a dealer in Shawnee, KS. Previous show dealers received their bourse applications sometime ago. (Please return at once if not already done.) - We have another dandy auction on ta-p through the hard work of Terry Stahurski. We a-p-preciate our consignors and especially, those people who donated lots for the benefit of IKO-TAMS. THANK YOU TERRY HESS FOR HANDLING THE BINDER ESTATE DONATION. ANNUAL SHOW 2016 - Well, there is good news on this front too. It looks like we will have a show next year, all things being equal. Two long-term members have answered the call to duty; one assuming the "dealer relations" responsibility, and the other taking on the "publicity" job. For a while, the "facilities" will still be handled by yours truly. I am still open to someone else taking overall charge of the show. Then I will have just two jobs, president and treasurer. ANNUAL DUES - We will resume collecting dues for the 2016 year, still only $10 per year. Please make it a point to pay at the annual show to save time and mailing expense. Secretary Jim Lindsay, or one of his able assistants, will greet you with an outstretched hand (palm up) at the front table. If you are unable to attend the show, please mail your payment to Jim not later than Oct. 15th_
