IGP is continuing its growth strategy in the USA –Acquisition of Performance Powders LLC
By purchasing the Performance Powder LLC powder coating production company, IGP is strengt-hening its position in the North-American market and improving its access to customers based there. Performance Powder is part of the Marcus Paint family-owned company based in Louisville, Kentucky. The company, which was founded 20 years ago, primarily sells industrial varnish with an annual production volume of several hundred tonnes. The current operation consists of 3 producti-on lines incl. development and quality laboratories.
“This acquisition was an important next step in our continued growth as a global powder coatings manufacturer” said Marc Zuellig, CEO of IGP Pulvertechnik AG. “We are also pleased that Dean Edwards has joined the IGP team to head up North American Operations, with over 20 years ex-perience in the US market Dean will help to integrate the Swiss technology and product offerings into our local manufacturing operations.”
“There has been a tremendous response from the North American market to the IGP Product Port-folio in the last few years and we’re excited to continue that growth here with the addition of the facility in Louisville, KY” noted Dean Edwards, President of IGP North America, “we will continue to supply the Performance Powders customers from here and be able to offer a new level of ser-vice and support to the growing US IGP customer base”.
