2. QR Codes for Voicemail Gift Tags For Xmas
When you purchase a gift from any JCPenny store, you receive a ‘Santa tag’ which has a accompanying QR code. By scanning it, you can then record a personalised voice message for the person you’re giving the gift to. Once
you’ve that done, just stick the QR code onto the present and send it off.

If there’s one thing that has grown in popularity since the web began, it’s the abundance of cat related material. Videos,
cartoons, memes, you name it! Now, one agency has decided that cat videos are the future of advertising and to capitalise on
their popularity by focusing their efforts on cat related campaigns.
A Toronto based agency called John St have created the world’s first and only agency dedicated to cat videos. They’ve christened it ‘catvertising’ and claim that those agencies that don’t embrace
this trend will be left behind. It’s a fantastic piece of self promotion and while we’re pretty sure
it’s not true – this is the same agency that was responsible for the brilliant Pink Ponies case study video– it will certainly bring John
St a lot of attention and business .

5. Lay’s Vending Machine
No money required… just a potato!Lay’s decided to break the mold and show consumers that there’s nothing to hide: 100% real potatoes, vegetable oil and a pinch of salt. They decided to use real potatoes to offer a Lay’s sampling in a unique venue in the main POS
in Argentina by inviting people to insert potatoes in a special machine: The Lay’s Machine.
The first Lay’s machine is already working in a Walmart in Buenos Aires and it’s not activated with coins but with real spuds. When you insert a potato the machine is activated
and you follow the entire process from raw potato to a Lay’s chip: washed, peeled, cut, cooked, salted and
packaged ready to pop into your mouth fresh and hot from the machine.
