This project explores the question of the neighborhood library. The challange was to propose a new future for a library that fits in a digi-tal age. This public library maintains that feel for adventure in search for knowledge and encourages people to explore and travel the space to explore and travel the space inside.

NARRATIVE ASSEMBLIES

This exercise features a body and tool study with coded information overlayed above it to convey a language. The process is then taken further with the initial exploration and results of a two-dimensional documentation translated into a three-dimensional construct

WS03-Using WS02 as a basis and placing vectors of different lengths and sixes to highlight interesting moments.

MOVEMENT AND SPATIAL STRUCTURE

The study of a chosen site located at Wissahickon Park. A type of triangulation method was used to measure the site and determine the contour lines which created the typography of the land. Using short wooden dowel pieces, the model portrays an exaggerated form in which the land takes.

BODY AND SPACE

Using only wood and cardboard, this model depicts the visualization of spaces of action by human beings by investigating a simple program of moving and pausing. The occupant will become an “interlocutor”, that is someone who will establish a someone who will establish a conversation with the surrounding conditions. The language is space and light. It involves setting up spaces and sequences of spaces that guide the participant, engage his/her interest without dictating, rather odictating, rather offering opportunities for action.

WINDOW/THRESHOLD

This project Window/Threshold investigates the space in between the inside and outside of a selected rowhouse.

Interior Renders

This project began with a few initial studies of morphology and envelope intended to explore the potential structural, spatial, and aesthetic eand aesthetic effects of folding. From this starting point I then distribute program, open up or enclose in relation to site opportunities relative to the sun, citto the sun, city, and forest, facilitate movement along the path and between programs.
