enable IGCSE to be compatible with other curricula across the world.

About I G C S EInternational General Certificate of Secondary Education Cambridge IGSCE is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds (standard IX & X), leading to globally recognized and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications.

As a not-for-profit organization, Cambridge continually invests in educational research and services and is committed to the mission of extending access to the benefits of high quality education around the globe.

Cambridge IGCSE is equivalent in standard to the UK GCSE and the International GCE O Level and ICSE in India.

Cambridge IGCSE provides a foundation for higher-level courses such as Indian School Certificate (ISC) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

AssessmentsAssessment for Cambridge IGCSE includes written and oral tests,

coursework and practical assessment. Coursework is set and marked by the teacher and externally moderated by Cambridge.

Each learner’s performance is benchmarked using eight internationally recognized grades. There are clear guidelines

which explain the standard of achievement for different grades.

Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in May / June and October / November. Results are issued in

August and January.
