Organized Beti Bachao Beti Padaho Seminar & Awareness Rally

Details of the Event:
School of Law, IFTM University along with NCC units of university with the help of District
Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Moradabad organized a Seminar on “BetiBachaoBetiPadaho” and
also conducted an Awareness Rally on this very important social issue.
BetiBachaoBetiPadhao is a social scheme launched by Government of India in order to address the
gender imbalance and discrimination against girl child in the Indian society. This scheme was
launched by the Prime Minister on 22nd of January in 2015 at Panipat, Haryana on Thursday. This
scheme is to aware people about the importance of girls in the society. It is to increase awareness
among common people to save the lives of girl child by completely removing the female
foeticide.The main purpose of the seminar was to aware students and cadets about the major
problem of gender discrimination

Mr. Vibhanshu Sudheer, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Moradabad was the chief guest
of the event. Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, Registrar, IFTM University innaugrated th

Purpose:
The main purpose was to create awareness about gender base discrimination and female foeticie
and to make people aware about the importance the girl child.
Outcome:
The students and cadets understood the outcomes of the gender based discrimination and female
foeticide. Some students and cadets
