Li KepingChina Investment Corporation (CIC)

Mr. Li Keping is the Vice Chairman, President and Chief Investment Officer of CIC, Chairman of China Investment Corporation since 2014. Immediately prior to this, Mr. Li served as the Executive Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of CIC since 2011.

Before joining CIC, Mr. Li worked in the National Council for the Social Security Fund since 2011 as Head of Investment Department (2001-2007) and Deputy Chairman (vice minister level) (2007-2011) successively.

From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Li took various positions in the State Commission for Restructuring the Economic Systems which was then restructured and renamed as the State Council Office for Restructuring the Economic Systems where he served as Deputy Director General of the Macroeconomic System Department until 2000. In 2000, Mr. Li went to the University of Colarodo as a visiting scholar.

Between 1982 and 1992, Mr. Li worked as a lecturer at the Beijing Univserity of Chemical Technology and took his advanced education at Fudan University, University of Tubingen and TH Darmtadt (Germany) during that period of time. Mr. Li was born in 1956. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Peking University.

H.E. Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-ThaniQatar Investment Authority (QIA)

H.E. Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Thani is Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Investment Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Holding, a Member of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ooredoo Group. His Excellency also serves as a Commissioner to the United Nations ITU Broadband Commission for Digital Development, and a Member of the World Bank’s Advisory Council on Gender and Development.

Sheikh Abdulla was instrumental in the restructuring and regional expansion of Ooredoo since the launch of its expansion strategy in 2005, steering the growth of Ooredoo from a single-nation telecom operator to a Group with a presence in 16 countries spanning North Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia. During that time, His Excellency was Chairman of Wataniya Group (based in Kuwait) and served as President Commissioner of Indosat (based in Indonesia).

Prior to joining Ooredoo, Sheikh Abdulla was Chief of the Royal Court (Amiri Diwan) and member of the Planning Council from 2000 to 2005. He also was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the North Atlantic College in Qatar from 2001 to 2006 and Military Attached to the United Kingdom from 1990 to 2000.

H.E Sheikh Abdulla graduated as pilot in Qatar’s Emiri Air Force. He holds a Master’s degree and he completed a number of programs at various military institutions, among them the Senior Army War College in the USA (1996-1997).

Kirill DmitrievRussian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF)

Prior to becoming CEO of RDIF in 2011, Kirill Dmitriev headed a number of large private equity funds and completed a series of landmark transactions, including the sale of Delta Bank to General Electric, Delta Credit Bank to Société Générale, STS Media to Fidelity Investments, etc. At the beginning of his career he worked at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company.

He is Deputy Chairman of the Investment Council under the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and was appointed by the President of Russia as a member of the BRICS and the APEC business councils; he also was selected as ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. He serves as a member of the boards of directors of Rostelecom, Gazprombank, SIBUR, MDMG, Prominvestbank and a member of the boards of trustees of the Mariinsky Theatre and Moscow State University.

In 2011 he was the only Russian representative in the list of ‘100 most influential private equity professionals of the decade’ (Private Equity International). He holds a BA in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from the Harvard Business School.

Deanna OngGIC Private Limited

Deanna Ong is Managing Director of GIC, and currently heads Human Resource & Organization, and Corporate Governance for the group. GIC is a global investment management company established to manage the foreign reserves of the Government of Singapore. GIC invests internationally in equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and infrastructure assets. As head of Human Resource & Organization, Deanna is responsible for human capital strategy, talent management, leadership and organization development in GIC. This includes recruitment, development, reward and retention programmes for GIC staff globally, in partnership with the business to drive talent and leadership planning for organization and performance. Deanna was Director Finance from 2009 to 2014, where she headed the Finance Group responsible for financial management across GIC’s portfolio, covering financing arrangements for assets, tax planning, investment holding structures, accounting and management of group revenue and expenditure.  Deanna has been with GIC since 1994. Prior to joining GIC, she was a Tax Accountant with Arthur Andersen. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and has completed the Stanford Executive Programme.
