• A voter may choose to cast a write-in vote by writing a person’s name in the space provided and connecting the head and tail of the arrow next to the name.
• Voters cannot put any labels or stickers in the write-in space. This may damage the machine.
• The Eagle places write-in ballots into compartment #1 of the Eagle.

• Observers are allowed to be present in the polling place, outside the voting area.
• There is no solicitation of voters in the polling place.
• There is no distributing or posting of political signs within the polling place or 50 ft. from the entrance.
• Pollworkers, checkers, or watchers cannot display political materials.

• Voters are allowed to enter the polling place with campaign materials!
• Only election officials are permitted to use cell phones in the polling place, for official election business only.
• Photographs are permitted from outside the voting area only.
• No one is to approach the Eagle except election officials or voters.

• Turnout is expected to be very high.
• Voter’s must form lines for each pair of Supervisor’s (for example A-L, M-Z)
• Supervisors must refer “problem” voters to the Clerk and keep the line moving.
• However, take your time and make sure each voter completes the appropriate application and gets only one ballot!

• The Moderator must ensure that lines are formed and order is maintained.
• If all booths are full, have a line formed for booths (10 minute limit in booths).
• Arrange for breaks to be taken at off-peak times.
• Contact the Board of Canvassers if you have any problems maintaining order.
