Session 616: PowerPoint presentation used to lead the 2-hour workshop session at the 2014 OAGEE Conference at Ryerson University, Toronto, ON Session Description: A Mining Matters teacher-facilitator will lead this hands-on session for middle school teachers (grades 7-9) while they identify various rock building minerals, investigate the rock cycle and the characteristics of the three rock groups as well as discover the interrelationship between them. Particular attention will be given to rocks and minerals of Ontario. This workshop will enhance your skills, confidence, and knowledge of Earth sciences and invigorate classroom instruction.
