FLORA OF GRAN CANARIA
● The high incidence of endemic species and endangered species in the flora of the Canary Islands in general, and particularly in Gran Canaria, as well as the problems of identification and classification of many taxa, make a catalog of reliable and stable flora indispensable. and distribution maps of species and communities, both for the nomenclature of the species in the lists of protected plants, as well as for the plans for the management of natural resources, plans for the use and management of natural spaces, environmental impact studies , etc
● This flower is perfect for health, since it helps the circulation, to lose weight, is an antioxidant, regulates intestinal transit, is moisturizing.

PLANTS AND ANIMALS
THE GOAT
● The goat is one of the outstanding symbols of Fuerteventura, even statues have been erected. The majorera goat makes up a specific breed and the cheese made from its milk was the first Canarian food to qualify for a Denomination of Origin. In fact, the capital, Puerto del Rosario, was called Puerto Cabras until the 1950s, which provides an idea of the island's main contribution to the world.
● It is a great source of resources: milk, meat, good quality leather ... Not in vain it has been considered the cow of the poor, sometimes it is true that it has been moved to uninhabited islands to begin to set up small farms. The tourist will find this icon of the island represented in all kinds of souvenirs and memories. It is difficult to leave the island without some delicacy in the form of cheese or sausage, or without trying a typical dish in which the goat is the protagonist.
SQUIRREL
A LITTLE INFORMATION...
● Only two squirrels were enough to conquer an entire island, that of Fuerteventura. In 1965, from a former Spanish colony in North Africa, a pair of squirrels came to Gran Tarajal from a neighbor. After escaping one, the other was released and, in just three years, the squirrels had formed a colony on one of the nearby slopes. What began as an attraction for the neighbors, who fed them, ended up becoming a full-blown invasion. Currently it is estimated that up to one million squirrels live in Fuerteventura. But also in other islands where they have been sighted on numerous occasions, although more sporadically.
PICOPAJARITO
● The Kickxia genus is composed of around 47 species worldwide and is part of the scrophulariaceae family. The plants that are commonly called "picopajarito" and that we can find in Fuerteventura, the latter is a very common canary endemism in Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
Dunas of Corralejo Natural Park

This is a magnificent place where you can get carried away by an absolute tranquility, ideal to disconnect. The dunes are north of the island of Fuerteventura, just 5 kilometres from Corralejo. This place offers a great landscape that mixes the tranquility offered by the sand dunes with the freshness of the calm waters that accompany it.
