    Synopsis

Project estimating and cost control is an essential project management technique that can be utilized to

improve project performance. This course is designed to give an essence of the concepts and techniques of

project estimating and project cost control in the engineering construction. It is suitable for engineer those who

intend to gain an additional knowledge of cost management in construction project. You will learn the process to

quantify the cost of building and civil engineering works of construction by taking into account the

elements such as material, labour, plant and unit cost of the various items of works as itemized in a Bill

of Quantities or Specification of Works. The course contents are also emphasizes on theremedial action to

comply with set targets and the external factors that might influence original project costs This 2-days

intensive course is both practical and interactive, supplemented with useful course note, real-life case studies and

    working examples.

    Benefits

Understand the basic principles and techniques of project estimating and project cost control Understand the basic concept of work breakdown structure in building construction and engineering

    construction

Able to check and take necessary remedial action to comply with set targets or project goals Able to evaluate other external factors that might influence original project costs Understand the application of project cash flows for building and engineering constructionWho Could Benefit From The Course

Civil and structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, construction sitemanagers, safety officers, building surveyors involve in construction projects; Quality Control staff associatedwith building and engineering construction; all staff who need basic training in project estimating and cost

    control.

Government and Non-government officers; anyone responsible for or involved in construction project. Civil engineers, project managers, site managers, structural engineers, safety officers, all staff who need basic

knowledge in project estimating and value engineering.
