IELTS Preparation Course (Regular / Intensive) The course aims to introduce the format and content of the exam, develop exam strategies and allow participants to identify their strengths and areas for development.

Core Learning Objectives By the end of the course, participants will... • be more familiar with the content and format of the exam • be more familiar with and effective in tackling each task type • have developed strategies to maximise their potential in the exam • be better able to skim and scan reading texts to find the required information • be better able to identify what is required in the writing questions • be better able to organise and structure essays to present information in their own words (task 1)

and to present a point of view, argument or problem (task 2) • be better able to prepare and talk about personal information and general topics at length and

engage in a discussion on more abstract issues • be more aware of personal strengths and areas that need additional work
