Assessments

The final grade of IELM 4110 course consists of three parts (Attendance, PRS and an Essay). We will carry out comprehensive consideration at the end of semester. Please Attend ALLALL lecturesGet at least 60%60% of the PRS questions correct Submit an essay

Attendance

In order to keep good order of this big class, everyone will be assigned a seat. Please sit in your own seat according to the seating plan posted on the course website.

The lecture will begin at 9:30am at LTD.To avoid disturbing others, please come to join the class on time. And you will be marked as late if you come after 9:30am.

Attendance

If you cannot attend the class, please submit the leave application form together with supporting document to the IELM 4110 Collection Box (outside RM 5551) within one week from the specific lecture. The leave application form can be downloaded from the course website. Only a hard copy of the leave application form is accepted. You will be notified of the result within two weeks after your submission of the application form. 

You can check the attendance record on the course website http://teaching.ust.hk/~ielm4110. If you find any errors regarding your attendance record, please report to the TA within three weeks after the specific lecture.

PRS

There will be a quiz session in each lecture, and the student is required to use PRS to answer the questions. Please check your PRS record which will be uploaded to the course website after each lecture. 

Please remember to bring your PRS to the lecture. Marks will not be counted to the student who forgot to bring their PRS or whose PRS handset has any problem to answer the question. If you really forget to bring your PRS handset or your handset has any problem, please report to the TAs before or after the lecture. Venue for picking up PRS handsets: The AV counter of ITSC at Rm 2021 (Lift 2)

Paper answers will NOT be accepted.  Please Do not help your classmate to answer the PRS questions. Marks

will not be counted if you were checked to be cheated.
