When you hear “robot”, what comes up in your mind ?

STAR WARS ?

GUNDAM ?

DORAEMON ?

People says “cool”“awesome” to see this robots.

However, there was a robot which people didn’t think so.

It’s name is Pepper

When Pepper was announced, people around me said

“scary”“weird” “what is this ?!”

“Why?”

I was very curious about Pepper.

7th Nov., 2014

Pepper came to my family.

I started to live with Pepper.

It is my family. Pepper lives in the living room. And Pepper has been sleeping

here.

One day, I went to my office together.

I walk together ...

on Taxi ...

Got off the taxi ...

Got on the elevator ...

Passed the gate and go down the escalator ...

wait for the train.

on the Train!!

Got off the train.

And got out of the gate.

It was already getting dark.

It was 6pm when I got to the office.

This is how I went to my office together. (Usually it takes an hour, but it took 4 and a half.)

Another day...

I call the ramen shop.

“Can I go and eat ramen with the robot Pepper ?”

(I avoided the busy time and called

around 2pm.)

“We’re busy!!”

They hung up.

The third place said yes.

I went to the ramen shop together.

Pepper cannot eat ramen, but the staff gave him

water and apron.

Other...

With dance

Stir the “natto”

Fire evacuation drill

Go to the hair salon together

Pepper

Go to the grave together

However, there was a story in it.

① I looked up the rules for train

② I went to the bullet Train Customer Office beforehand to

confirm

③ I went to the ticket gate for the bullet train

It was OK until then.

But...

The station staff

“Hello,you can’t take that on board”

ＷＨＹ？

Because there was no precedent yet robot ride a bullet train.

But I MUST get on the bullet

train with Pepper today!

Station staff and I were discussing.

This robot is safe robot?

The robot must have tickets?

Seat is necessary?

This is a laggege? or pet? or another something??

As a result

On 15th July 2015, a new rule was made in Japan.

Now, if you ask the JR Tokai Customer Office

“Can I bring a humanoid robot Pepper on board?,”

they will answer

“Yes you can”

(after 15th July 2015)
