Given its strategic geographical location, Colombia is a cultural crossroad. That has greatly influenced our vast and diverse cultural heritage:

üAfrican influence (coming from slavery times)

üSpanish/ European ( from Colonial times)

üMiddle eastern ( mostly in the caribbean coast)

üAboriginal cultures ( Natives)

Colombia cultural diversity

One of the biggest and acclaimed novelist of 20th century. Nobel prize award winner. His books portrait the Colombian culture at all levels.

His works have achieved significant critical acclaim and widespread commercial success, most notably for popularizing a literary style labeled as Magic realism.

Vallenato is a very popular folk music of Colombia .Vallenato literally means "born in the valley.

The Cumbia originated in Colombia's Caribbean coastal region, from the musical and cultural fusion Of Native Colombian, slaves brought from Africa and the Spanish during colonial times.

The man who rescued one of the best artistic expressions of Colombia. His fusion music has great recognition outside Colombia and was the first artist to successfully export our music.
