    Proper tension ofthe trackis maintainedby meansof theadjustingidler mechanism. Correct band track tensionisdenned as that track tension which allows a 150-pound load, placed on thecenter of the trackmidway between the top roller and the idler, to produce a -inch deflection or sag measured between the topsurfaceof thetrack anda straightline tangent to the top surface of the track at the top roller and theidler. Thetension of the track is governed bythe tensionsprings, which,when correctly adjusted, have a compressed length of from 13 inchesto 3s/s inches. Tracktension is increased by moving the track idler tothe rear anddecreasedby movingthe idler forward. Thecorrect idler
