The key issues faced by the client for which Avancer’s intervention was sought were:

• Facilitating Single-Sign-On: A huge user base with a range of business applications, it was viewed tough to be supported through a home-grown Single-Sign-On solution.

• Access Automation: The client was often hit by glitches stalling day to day operations of employees and obstructing in-time access to various application (internal as well as cloud). The client was in a dire need of a self-service administrative IT features to automate access governance. IT Admin’s support cost as the client could not afford to compromise the efficiency of healthcare processes.

• Directory Service Upgrade: The existing system was stuck by performance issues. Since the client was looking upgrading to Oracle’s latest version, ancillary technology such as the existing directory product was unsupported with the updated version of Oracle product.

After undertaking a strategic look at the problems faced by the client through a series of discussions with various teams at the client’s end Avancer took suggested following solutions to help the client deal with existing set of challenges and achieve robust automation: • Migration from home grown solution to Single Sign-on solution to inducting OAM 11gR2

solution technology into the system• Identity and Access management integration across the system network• Identity Lifecycle Management which included out of the box functionality, password

management, custom branding, LDAP synchronization• Implemented Web Service security through Enterprise Gateway deployment, secure token

propagation & web services management

The project completed with the implementation of aforementioned solutions and services. It led to following results:• The financial services provider achieved self service automation for employees, helping in creating an

efficient work environment, cutting down on administrative IT’s time to manually process such requests. Moreover the Single-Sign-On feature drastically enhanced functionality with new set of features like centralised Identity, Access and Password Management.

• Single sign-on features was extended to Portal/Public sites, i-aXs, SOA, Middleware, FacExchange, Cognos reporting, and ECM improving operational efficiency of work processes, better performance of workforce & enhanced security of the network systems.

Overall the organization was able to command the Employee Lifecycle in a better way. On-boarding of new employee and transfer of employee among multiple department process were streamline and now happens in matter of couple of hours.

End ResultsOn completion of the project, the client was able to realise the benefits of IAM Technology in

terms of optimisation of resources and seamless automation.
