Dorms

Two apartments on Campus have playgrounds for all your childish needs. There is Wifi in every dorm and cable television. Utilities are included in your initial living costs. There is on site mail delivery to all dorms. Half of the dorms are pre-furnished.

Choirs Ensembles Concert Choir ISU's 60 to 70 voice mixed ensemble studies and performs choral

music ranging from chant to contemporary. Orchestral, brass, and wind ensembles often join Concert Choir in performing large symphonic works. In addition to performing on the Pocatello campus, Concert Choir regularly schedules tours throughout the Northwest. Scholarships for vocalists are awarded on the basis of outstanding musical skills and are available to all members, regardless of degree program.

Chamber Choir Chamber Choir is a select group of 20 to 24 singers. This group’s size

and repertoire demands singers to be of high caliber in their musical and vocal skills. This choir sings concerts in local churches, and on the ISU campus. In addition, Chamber Choir takes an international tour every two years. Recently, this choir has sung in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

Womens Choir Founded in 1995 by its present director, Professor Kathleen Lane, the

ISU Women’s Choir has grown steadily in membership and quality. Camerata Singers

Majoring In Music

When you have Music Studies as your major there are many doors that open. Scholarships that weren’t available suddenly become available to you. Being the Choral program at Idaho State University actually makes you money while you are going to school. You have to audition and make it into the choirs but once you are in you can get scholarships and the University will pay you to sing. You get to do something you love and get paid.

The Area Surrounding

Pocatello, Idaho is a beautiful place to live. There are many things to do on your days off and college students will most certainly be entertained most of the time. There is bike riding, hiking, and rafting available in Pocatello along with so much more! This is also one of the safest cities Idaho has to offer.

ISU is the 5th safest campus in the nation.

In the last year there have only been 37 arrests on campus.

The accounting program is known for its small class sizes and readily available professors. ISU is rated in the top ten schools with high numbers of graduates from this program. Accountants are strategic partners in todays businesses and need to have thorough technological skills which they can get through the accounting program at Idaho State University.
