COGNITIVE:

Identify the elements of theatre within the production.

Analyse elements of theatre within production.

AFFECTIVE: To Perform excerpts from this play demonstrating an understanding of the emotional range of the characters

To interpret different roles within the play

To recite lines showing demarcations in tone and atmosphere

To create characters using body language to convey state of mind

INTRODUCTION/SET INDUCTION: Students are asked to identify what are elements of theatre taught in previous lesson and asked to look for them in the production today (15 mins. )

TEACHING MATTER /METHOD:

1A) The teacher projects a play from 2011 Theatre festival (30 mins )

1B) Students asked to write short notes on elements of theatre during production(30 mins )

2) Students are asked to identify elements of theatre within production (5mins )

3) Teacher engages class in discussion getting different views of the production(5mins )

EVALUATION: Students will write a critique of the production identifying elements of theatre . (10 mins)

CLOSURE : Students will be asked to view another play and write a critique identifying elements of theatre.
