About Professor Russ Corsini

• Retired from Deloitte as Operations Director for India; has also been CFO of an NYSE company and director of a NASDAQ company; serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations

• Has had extensive international experience with Deloitte and the Gillette Company

• Worked and lived with his family on assignment primarily in Argentina, Venezuela, and Central America

• Fluent in Spanish• Led ICP Latin America teams

in 2009 (Mexico), 2010 (Peru) and 2011 (Chile)

Course Particulars

• Class meets on Mondays, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in Fulton 310

• Work in two teams of 6 (12 students max)

• Research and problem solving done at Boston College with use of e-mails, conference calls, and other media for regular client contact

• Final deliverable: recommendation presentation to client in Santiago

Consulting Project Assignment

1. Research and define the markets and distribution channels specific to each of Luxiua Lighting’s product lines, using primary and secondary research

2. Research potential distribution partners for introducing Luxia Lighting products in the U.S.

Travel to Santiago

clipper ships had to cross the Straights of Magellan to reach China

– Today, main port of Chile and a university town

• Proceed to fabulous resort town of Vina del Mar– Overnight stay– Enjoy sights and

ambiance of one of Latin America’s great resorts

Scheduling and Costs

• Scheduling – Class begins on January 23rd 2011– Depart from Boston on Saturday, May 12th – Arrive in Boston on Saturday, May 19th

• Costs – Approximately $3,000 per student– Group price covers airfare, airport transfers,

company visits, sightseeing, hotel (double-occupancy), daily breakfast

– No itinerary changes or use of frequent flier miles may be used
