WelCome Address Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the IEEE International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power – ICHQP 2018 held in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, from May 13th to 16th, 2018 .
The IEEE Power & Energy Society has more than 30,000 members and together we map the future direction of the industry . With strong technical, scientific and cultural foundations, the IEEE is an independent, non-profit organization that serves member countries on a voluntary basis and is recognized by ISO as an international standardization body in its fields .
The International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power, formerly International Conference on Harmonics in Power Systems – ICHPS, is a well-established IEEE technical conference that is held biennially by rotation in and outside the United States . The ICHQP has been successfully taking place since 1984 . The Conference is one of the premier international conferences in the field and aims to provide a forum for electrical engineers and scientists in universities and research centres, utilities and industry to present their work and share information in the area of harmonics and power quality .
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a dynamic Central European city located between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, it has a population of 280,000 and a predominantly continental climate . Although Ljubljana is one of the youngest capitals in the European Union, it nevertheless reveals a long history and a real wealth of cultural and artistic monuments .
We look forward to welcoming you to Slovenia and seeing you at the IEEE ICHQP 2018 Conference .

informAtion for speAKers And poster presenters
poster presentations
Posters will be displayed in the Foyer II all the time during the congress . Display boards will be numbered . During the poster session, the presenting authors are kindly asked to stay close to their poster .
speakers’ centre
Technical organizer offers a high-performance network between all different presentation rooms . The technical organizer will give you an additional instruction concerning your session and the presentation of your paper in the Speaker Centre . Congress staff will make sure that your presentation will be downloaded on the computer in your specific session room . Please make sure that your computer presentation is fully operational before your talk . Only Power Point presentations, USB Memory cards will be accepted . Version MS PowerPoint 2013 is recommended . We suggest that your computer presentation be installed and tested at least two hours before your talk . A technician and a room attendant will be in every room to provide assistance when needed .
We do not allow the use of personal laptops for presentations except in rare circumstances (for example, when the presentation has been created with Corel, Apple Keynote or movie creating software) . If you bring your laptop to the congress, the technician will copy the files on your hard disk of the laptop into the central congress network, so the laptop will no longer be needed . At the end of the congress, all presentations will be deleted so no copyright issues will arise .
The Speakers Centre will have the same opening hours as the registration desk .
internet
Wireless internet connection is available in Foyer II . The name of the network is CD_GUEST . No login or password is needed .
