WORKSHOP ON AUTOCAD

AutoCAD is a computer-aided design (CAD) program used for 2-D and 3-D design and

drafting. AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on

microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most

commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD

operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal.

AutoCAD is used across a wide range of industries, by architects, project managers,

engineers, graphic designers, and many other professionals. It was supported by 750 training

centers worldwide in 1994.

ICE Student Chapter UET Taxila conducted workshop on AutoCAD on March 19, 2018 from

12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

All participants brought their laptops along with the mouse and installed software.

Setup of AutoCAD was provided by ICE to all participants before the workshop started.

Certificates of participation were awarded to all the participants.

More than 70 students participated in the workshop.

The workshop was started at sharp 12:30 PM and ended at 3:00 PM.
