    Registration: Online registration for the Wednesday, Feb. 27 Build YourOwn Conference Day 80-minute Featured Presentations and the ThursdayFebruary 28 and Friday, March 1 General Conference days will remain openthrough the event dates. Registration for the Thursday, February 28 KeynoLuncheon will remain open until Feb. 21. Registration for all full-day andhalf-day workshops is closed. ICE Conference registration will be located the lobby area outside of the Exhibit Hall in the Mega Center or in Salon VIas noted below. Be sure you are registered for the conference online prior visiting the Registration area so you do not need to stand in lengthy lines atthe On-site Registration counter.

    Registration Changes/Cancellations: As posted on the Registrationwebpage, all conference registration changes or cancellations were to besubmitted by Feb. 1, 2013. If you find you cannot attend the conference as

    registered, you may send someone to attend the conference in your place.Follow the directions posted on the Registration webpage for details.

    Volunteer! Wish to attend the Thursday or Friday General Conference foronly $50? Volunteer! Volunteers play an important role at the conference, anwe invite you to consider volunteering your time at one of the many locationaround the conference facility. Its a chance to have fun, work with a greatgroup of people, and earn $75 reimbursement toward your paid Thursdayand/or Friday General Conference registration! Complete an onlinevolunteer form to participate!

    Meals:Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 27: Continental breakfast and lunis included with Tuesday and Wednesday Pre-Conference registration. Meawill be set-up at the general location of the Tuesday and Wednesdaysessions. Please note that this year lunch will be ticketed. Your lunch ticket

    will only be valid at the location of your workshop. You will be provided aticket in your workshop or featured presentation room prior to the lunchbreak. Those attending sessions at the ACT Center must eat lunch at the

    ACT Center. Those attending sessions at Pheasant Run must eat lunch atPheasant Run.Thursday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 1: Complimentary continentalbreakfast will be available in the Atrium from 7:30-9:00AM. Lunch will beavailable for purchase in the Exhibit Hall and the Atrium from11:30AM -1:30PM.

    Conference Location: The ICE Conference will take place at Pheasant RunResort, 4051 East Main St., St. Charles, IL. Some full-day and half-day work-shops and the luncheon keynote will take place across the street at the Hilton

    Advanced Center for Training (ACT).

    Conference Schedule:Below is an overview of ICE 2013Tuesday, Feb. 26, 8:30AM-3:30PM: Full-day workshops. Pre-registrationwas required and is now closed. On-site registration for workshops will notbe available.

    Wednesday, Feb. 27, 8:30AM-3:30PM: Build Your Own Conference dayincluding full-day and half-day workshops and Featured Presentations.Pre-registration for full-day and half-day workshops was required and isnow closed. On-site registration for workshops will not be available.Registration for the Build Your Own Conference 80-minute FeaturedPresentations remains open. The General Conference kick-off reception,open to all conference registrants, will take place from 3-5:30PM in theExhibit Hall.

    Conference Name Badge: Your name badge is your ticket to enter theconference and must be worn at all times during conference events.

    Those who paid conference fees by Feb. 4, 2013:

    - You were mailed your name badge in mid-February.BE SURE TO BRING IT WITH YOU. (Note: An open/unpaid PO doesnot constitute payment.)

    - If you are attending the Tuesday, Feb. 26 or Wednesday, Feb. 27pre-conference days and have your name badge in hand, go directlyto your first scheduled session. (Workshop locations are posted onthe Workshop webpage.)

    - If you are attending the conference on Thursday, Feb. 28, or Friday,March 1, bring your badge to the Mega Center lobby where you willpick up a name badge holder and a conference tote bag containingthe General Conference program book and other materials.

    - If you misplace or forget to bring your name badge with you, plan tostand in line at the On-Site Registration desk.

    Those registering or paying conference fees after Feb. 4, 2013:

    - Plan to pick up your name badge from the registration counters uponarrival at the conference. Registration times/locations are posted inthe Registration paragraph that follows.

    - Please mail your payment to the ICE office, 777 W. Army Trail Blvd.,Addison, IL 60101. We prefer checks/payments are not brought to theconference site.

    Whether you have attended the ICE Conference in the past or this is your first time, we want to be certain you will have a meaningful learning experience atthis years event. The conference includes two days of pre-conference workshops and featured presentations, keynote presentations, a Tuesday evening Bitsand Bytes social gathering, a Wednesday evening General Conference Kick-off party, a Thursday evening ICE Conference Celebration, General Conferencebreakout sessions, poster sessions, Virtual Worlds and UDL Playgrounds, a Personal Learning Network Plaza, and an Exhibit Hall filled with vendors. There is

    much to do at the ICE Conference, and we want to be sure that your experience is a memorable one.

    Parking / Shuttle Bus Service: Parking at Pheasant Run is free. If thePheasant Run parking lot is full, overflow parking will be available at theHilton Garden Inn across the street, with shuttle bus service to PheasantRun all through the day. Shuttle bus service will be available for conferenceattendees who need to travel between the Pheasant Run Mega Center,Pheasant Run Gallery Hall and the ACT Center/Hilton Hotel/remote parkinglot across North Avenue. Schedules will be posted at each of these bus stoplocations. Shuttles will complete this route every 15 minutes or less. Shuttleswill begin running on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30AM and on Thursdayand Friday at 7:15AM. The last shuttle will run 30 minutes after the finalactivity each day.

    CPDU Credits:Tuesday and Wednesday Full-Day Workshop presenters will distributeCPDU documentation in workshop sessions. Six CPDU credits will beprovided for Full-Day Workshop attendees.

    Wednesday Half-Day and Featured Presentation registrants will pick upCPDU forms at the closing Keynote session provided by Hall Davidsonand drop off completed forms at the New Orleans Ballroom between3:30 - 4:30PM. Six CPDU credits will be provided for Wednesday attendees.

    Thursday and Friday conference registrants should complete the tear-offCPDU pages in the conference program book. The Thursday CPDU formwill need to be completed and dropped off between 4:30PM - 5:15PM inthe Mega Center lobby. Seven CPDU credits will be provided for Thursdayattendance. The Friday form will need to be completed and dropped offat the Closing Ceremony between 3:15PM - 3:45PM outside Salon VI.Six CPDU credits will be provided for Friday attendees.

    Once you turn in your completed form, you will be handed an Evidenceof Completion form mandated by ISBE. Partial CPDU credit for part-timeattendance at the conference will not be available. Note: Forms must besubmitted on the day you are requesting CPDU credit.

    Exhibit Hall / Barcode on Name Badge: Exhibitors will fill over 150booths with the latest in educational technology products and services.

    All exhibitors and information about their products and booth locationswill be listed in the conference program book, and in the Conference Appavailable in the iTunes App Store and the Android App store. Information

    about the exhibitors, including booth numbers, links to their websites,etc., is currently available on the Conference App. A printable pdf of theconference program book will also be posted online just prior to theconference. Exhibit Hall hours are:

    When you look at your name badge, you will notice that a bar code is on theback of it. Some of the exhibitors will be using a lead retrieval system. If youagree to allow an exhibitor to scan your bar code, please be aware that youare providing that exhibitor your name, address, school information, emailaddress, and phone number. This system was put in place to make it easierfor our members to establish contacts with exhibitors, but if you dont wantshare this information, the decision is in your hands...just dont let exhibitorsscan your name badge. (Those using complimentary name badges in returnfor loaning equipment to the conference must first activate their bar codeby completing and dropping off a Bar Code Activation Form at the On-siteRegistration desk.)

    Keynote Streaming: The Thursday and Friday morning Keynotepresentations will be streamed to several areas in Pheasant Run this year:

    s Mainstage Theaters New Orleans Ballrooms PLN Plaza located on Bourbon Streets At the ACT, the Keynote will be streamed to Salon A.

    Thursday/Friday General Conference Presenter Check-In:General Conference presenters (those providing Poster Sessions or 45-minute presentations) must check in at the Presenter Check-In desk inthe Mega Center lobby between 7:30AM and 10:00AM each day you arepresenting. (Presenters for the full-day and half-day workshop presentationswill be sent additional check-in information by email.)

    Presenter Handouts: Presenters will be uploading their conference hand-outs to the Conference Wiki found at: http://icewiki.info. Please visit thewiki to access copies of the handout(s) during and after the conference.

    Connect with Others! There are many opportunities at the ICEConference to meet other educators and participate in a variety of interactivactivities and special learning playgrounds. Be sure to take advantageof these networking opportunities:

    1) Tuesday Evening Bits and Bytes: Get together Tuesday, Feb. 26 fora meet and greet, share ideas, and have fun in Jambalayas beginningat 5PM. Appetizers are on ICE, with cash bar available.

    2) Wednesday Evening General Conference Kick-Off Reception:All registered conference attendees are invited to a FREE Kick-Offreception in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 3 - 5:30PM.You may bring an un-registered guest with you to the reception bypaying $10 at the door.

    3) Thursday Night ICE Celebration 2013: Join us for the officialICE Celebration 2013! Everyone is invited for socializing, dancing,and a fantastic time. ThePersonal Learning Network (PLN) Plaza will be located on BourbonStreet near the New Orleans Ballroom.

    Closing Session: ICE Conference 2013 will conclude with a closing sessionon Friday, March 1, at 3:30PM in the Salon rooms at Pheasant Run. We willannounce the winners of the grand prize raffle drawings at this meeting.You must be present to win these prizes, so plan to be there! We will alsohold the annual ICE meeting at this time and members will have theopportunity to vote for candidates for the 2013-2014 ICE Executive Board.

    Back Channeling and Video Streaming Policies: ICE is making an effortto keep our conference policies on back-channeling and streaming simple,yet clear:Video and audio recording-including streaming-of sessions for commercialuse is strictly prohibited. Recordings for noncommercial use may be madeonly with permission of the presenter. Any permitted recording should respectthe presenters rights and not be disruptive.

    ICE volunteers will coordinate back-channel chats for selected keynotes andspotlight sessions and information on where to find these back-channels willbe made available as the conference dates get closer and plans are finalized.Since conference volunteers plan to webcast the Keynote presentationson Thursday and Friday, we cannot permit individuals to use such tools as

    uStream at ICE Conference 2013 due to copyright policies and bandwidthissues.
