DESCRIPTION

Live Online Events made an hybrid for ICCA that had just outstanding audience interaction via sli.do. I tried to make some points, how other event organisers can get similar results.

Questions from TMS14 attendees:

What is the report/output from the session? is it available as a document/spreadsheet? data file? how do you distribute the outcomes from the session to the participants?

Peter, How is the range of engagement with in==on site people vs On-Line?

Do you think this technology will have an impact on conference and event attendance figures? As people will just join in from home / work?

Why Would NOT recording be of influence on the Impact?

Do you think exhibition and conference venues infrastructure will cope with this technology?

Is there an ideal time of day to attract as wide a range of nationalities as possible?

What is the root ROI of your technology?

Do people not get side tracked. If I'm using this system on my phone/tablet I'm more likely to browse Facebook than listen to the speaker

BEST QUESTIONS

So are CVBs wasting their money on expensive BID brochures? If associations already have a strong idea where they want to hold their meeting?

How do associations source for a venue and destination? Do venues and convention/tourism bureaus promote themselves enough?

if content is well presented the furniture on stage won't distract attention - why not being a bit different in terms od chairs on stage? #innovation

Role of CVB is important. But how important are CVBs for the associations ?

Martin Sirk - not convinced. Know lots of CVBs who complain about lack of transparency from associations about their realistic prospects of success. Need honesty/transparency on all sides.
