Inabreakfromthepast,thecountry'spremieragricultureresearchbody,theIndianCouncilofAgriculturalResearch,willmoveoutofDelhitocelebrateitsfoundationdayinPatnaonJuly25inpresenceofNarendraModi,hoursbeforethePMaddressesarallyinMuzaffarpur.

Thoughits100institutes,preadacrossthecountry,celebratetheinstitution'sfoundationdaywithintherespecivestates,thecentralbody,havingitsheadquartersinDelhi,hadnevermovedoutofhecapitalforthecelebrationnits86yearhistory.

ThedecisiontomovethemainfunctionofICAR's87thfoundationdaytopollboundBiharislearnttohavebeentakenbythePMwhoisexpectedtoannouncemanykeyprojectsforthestate,includingsettingupofnewagriculturecollegesandotherresearchinstitutions.

ThePMisgoingtoaddress2,500agriculturescientistsattheICARfoundationdayonJuly25inPatna,saidagricultureministerRadhaMohanSingh,addingthathewillalsokickstartBJP'scampaignwithamegarallyinMuzaffarpurthesamedaySinghsaidthePMwasalsoexpectedtoannouncesomebigprojectsforthestate.

ICARisanautonomousorganizationundertheagricultureministry.FormerlyknownasImperialCounciofAgriculturalResearch,iwasestablishedin1929.
