WHAT IT MANAGES

Ichill 200EVO is a family of electroniccontrollers designedfor the management of Chillers and Heatpumps.The remarkable flexibility allows to control from simple chiller to more complex heat pumps, also in system with domestic hot water production.

Thanks to the considerable flexibility, from hardware point of view (possibility to expand the I/O through the expansion) and from regulation point of view, this series is suitable for the main types of machines, even the most complex ones.

Main applications

• ICHILL200 EVO controllers can be used in applications such as chillers or heat pumps for cooling or heating of residential or commercial buildings and for industrial applications.

Main features

• 2 different formats: 32x74mm and 4 DIN• Connection to ICX207D expansion

module (4 DIN format) to use the ICHILL200 EVO in those complex applications where the resources available in the controller (probes, digital inputs and relays) are not enough.

• Connection to IEV drivers to control the electronic expansion valve.

• Connection to LED or LCD remote keyboard: machine status reading is immediate thanks to the display with icons and to the dedicated menu (compressors, fans, water pump status and alarms).

• Every input and output can be set as needed

• In case of connection to the IEV valve driver, the low-pressure transducer can be connected to IC200 EVO or directly to IEV driver; in this way, one transducer is enough to calculate the overheatingand to control the low pressure, ventilation and defrost.

• Possibility of standardization of the documentation by machinery manufacturers.

• Regardless of the size of the machine, the user interface remains the same.

Management of compressor types

• ICHILL200 EVO can control ON-OFF, screw(with 50%, 75% and 100% partialization valve) and inverter compressors.

• Different functions for machine and compressor functioning optimization are available for every compressor.

• The Unloading function allows the power partialization (by reducing the active compressors, or inserting capacity steps in case of screw compressors or reducing the inverter compressor speed) in critical working conditions

• Two regulation types are available: neutral or proportional zone.

In the neutral zone regulation some useful functions for delicate situations are available, such as the regulation temperature stabilization that prevents the achievement of the set-point; these functions are provided: compressors rotation after a certain working time and forced power-on of additional compressors for set-point achievement.

• In specific situations, such in the case of heat pumps for domestic hot water with dedicated exchanger, the power of the machine is oversized for the used exchanger. There is the possibility of reducing the number of compressors used for domestic hot water production and therefore solve this problem and save energy.

Resistors and water pumps with anti-freezing function

• Anti-freezing protection optimization allows the use of the water pumps and/or of anti-freezing resistors, which can be enabled separately. In fact it is possible to select both the reference probe and the temperature thresholds for pumps and/or resistors activation.

• The management of condensing fans in defrost mode has been optimized thanks to the delineation of specific thresholds for this mode, concerning both temperature/pressures for modulation control and velocity.

• The condensing units control has been enhanced with the possibility to manage a compressor’s call by letting the controller choose the one to activate or by setting the direct call of one specific compressor.

• Controllers give the possibility to decide whether to freely access the alarm menu of to set a password for the access. Password-protected access avoids possible alarm resets carried out by unauthorized personnel.

• It is possible to manage heat pumps for domestic hot water production; installations with 2 or 4 pipes (with dedicated exchanger for domestic water circuit).

• Possibility of suspending domestic hot water production due to high temperature;

• Definition of a minimum temperature threshold for dedicated resistors activation;

• Use of resistors as an integration for the heat pump;

• Anti-legionella cycle management, at time slots or at intervals;

• Management of the pump reserved for domestic water with related water flow switch.

Further functions

• Free-cooling: free-cooling valve management, with inner logic, that involves the use of free cold source. Compressors are activated only if the set-point is not reached in a max set time.

• Data Logger contains the data of the latest 100 alarms: time and day (only for models with clock on board).

• Double Set point function with daily activation and 3 different time slots for energy saving.

• Dynamic set point based on outdoor air temperature or analog signal 4÷20mA.

XWEB EVO is Dixell’scontrol and supervising systems family that guarantees the possibility of remotely monitoring IC200 EVO functioning, and therefore of the controlled machine. There are many available functions, for example the possibility of reading temperature and pressure status, controlled loads status, the diagnostic through sms or email, and much more.
