5.3. Challenges and Immediate Actions Taken

SN CHALLENGES IMMEDIATE ACTION TAKEN

1. Activities that were supposed to

commence in the quarter under review

didn’t start as a result of approval not

granted on time and the back and forth of

some processes that were involved in

consultancy.

Reminders were sent from both end .i.e.

from the Bank’s end and from the PIU’s end.

2. Response from some Consultant were

delayed as a result of clarity sorted for

from the PIU or from their Banks.

At times, payment document from the

IUFMP Bank were scanned to the referenced

Bank of the Consultant for quick

interference.

3. Supervising Consultant on Eleyele Dam

was not responding on time

Letters were sent to the Consultant to

expedite actions on the schedule of

supervision because the Construction

company in charge of the rehabilitation is

ready to commence works.

CONCLUSION

In Conclusion, the PIU might not attained her target due to circumstances that were

beyond their reach, but the Project is making Progress at a pace that is commendable. With

the Civil work that is about to begin, the progress of performance of the Project would

increase and there would be remarkable achievement before the mid-term in 2018.
