Dashboard Overview

The dashboard feature available for online assessment enables the user to

a) Monitor IBA

b) Unlock a locked candidate

c) Force submit candidate exam

d) Invalidate a candidate who is in violation of examination rules

e) View and download reports detailing different aspects of online assessments

like number of registered candidates, score of candidates who have

completed their exam, candidate attempt status.

This section explains the steps for viewing Dashboard and the different Reports that

an Admin can view post Assessment and can perform designated actions per the

requirement with respect to an IBA.

Steps for Viewing Dashboard

Step1:

Open browser (Preferred Browser is Google Chrome) and type

Step2:

Enter the login credentials, provided by the TCS iON Project Manager:

Click on Assessment Management

Step 4:

Click on "Online Assessment" tab

Step 5:

Select assessment type as "Online assessment"

Click on "Search" button

Step 6:

Click on icon to View Dashboard available under Actions on the left hand side

Overview of Different tabs in Dashboard View

View Dashboard: There are 5 tabs to view detailed information pertaining to the

assessment

1. Assessment Overview: The overall Analysis of the Assessment including the

number of candidates subscribed and unsubscribed, day wise analysis of the

number of attempts started and completed, Usage of the Question Papers

generated, Candidates attempt status, details of systems used by the

candidates.

2. Special Needs: Admin can approve the special requests of the candidates

such as zoom and scribe. Scribe details like name, mail Id and contact

Number can be added for a specific candidate.

3. Admin Actions: Admin can submit an attempt which is in progress, reset the

most recent submitted attempt, unlock an attempt which is in locked state

and invalidate the most recent attempt.

3.1 Reset: Resets the attempt taken by the candidate. An exam can be

resumed from where it got stopped, in case the exam has been

submitted accidentally by candidate or by an admin.

3.2 Invalidate: Invalidates the attempt of the candidate. Especially useful

in instances of malpractice

3.3 Force Submit: Submits all the attempts of the candidate

3.4 Unlock: Unlocks a candidate so that he/she can attempt the exam. If

the candidate exceeds the number of interruptions defined for that

particular assessment, his/her assessment status will be Locked and

he/she will not be able to take the assessment. In such a case, you can

unlock the candidate's attempt

Reports Reports: Following are the different types of reports that can be viewed / generated.

# Report Type Description

1. Score Report Detailed Score report of candidate (Result status, Marks

obtained).

2. Question Wise Report Question wise details on candidate responses.

3. Group Wise Report Detailed analysis report at the group level for each group created

in the assessment.

4. Section Wise Report Detailed analysis report at the section level (section id, name,

type) for each section created in the assessment.

5. Configuration Details

Report

Report shows system configuration details of candidate (platform,

language, screen resolution).

6. Candidate Feedback

Report

Report on feedback given by candidate. Useful for analysis and

further improvements as applicable.

7. Candidate Attempt

Report

This analysis is applicable in the assessments where the candidates

are permitted to give multiple attempts. i.e., more than one

attempt. Name, No. of attempts allowed, remaining attempts,

invalidated attempts and subscription status is shown in this report.

8. Candidate Audit Log

Report

Report shows log of actions performed by candidate during

asssessment (Action name, value, description, time, time spent).

These reports can be downloaded from the search history. For Candidate Audit Log,

the report can be downloaded as zipped folder by clicking on Generate button.

Undo Invalidate: Admin can view the invalidated attempt details such as candidate

name, Id, user who invalidated the attempt and undo the invalidate action

performed on any candidate's attempt.

Exam Day Steps for Candidates

Overview: This section explains the steps that a candidate needs to perform to

launch the assessment and different options that can be used on a Paper™

appliance.

Step 1:

Click on Exams

Step 2:

Click on "Internet Based Assessments”

Step 3:

Enter login credentials “User Name” & “Password” and click on “Login”

Step 4:

Click on “Online Assessment” tab

Step 5:

Click on “Launch” for respective assessment

Step 6:

Check on “I have read and understood instructions..” then Click on “I am ready to

begin” after carefully reading the instructions.

Step 7:

Select the radio button to answer the question and click on “Save & Next” button to

move to next question

Step 8:

To revisit the question again click on “Mark for Review & Next” button. Mark for

review questions are highlighted as .

Step 9:

Click on the option text to view it in enlarge mode

Step 10:

Click on to explore more options.

Step 12:

Profile shows Candidate ID and Name

Click on “MORE” to either view Question Paper or Instructions

Step 14:

Click on “Question Paper” to view all the questions.

Click on “View Instructions” to view the instructions.

Click on Subject name at the top to view / switch the subjects

Click on Settings icon to view question type and summary on Questions

Answered, Not Answered, Not Visited

Step 18:

Click on “Submit” after the assessment is complete.

Click on “Yes” for final submission

Step 20:

Click on Ok to Proceed

Click on “Ok” after “Assessment has been submitted successfully” message appears

on screen

Results Page (Displays Candidate Name, Score, Result)
